MRUBC - TAE Chapter 134 Scene Reading: Review

After viewing the video featured above, I must say that I am without a doubt not impressed. There are so many things wrong with these kids that it is purely unreal. Well, here are my issues with these kids:


1st ) Very bad voice acting. Now, I am aware that characters like that of Fang are suppose to be emotionless, but it sounds as if they are not even trying at all. But I want to also hit on Gazzy. He is far to hyperactive. Angel, I know and aware that she is suppose to be more mature in her age, but her she sounds like that girl from Orphan. That is too old!

2nd ) They do not have the presence that these characters require. When I think of Max, I feel that her presence should be that of power and might (also with worry because of her position in the flock). Here, I get the feeling of the idiotic girls I see everyday at school. Fang, I get the feeling that I am looking at a piece of cardboard talking. He needs some more feeling in his voice! Here he sounds as if he is reading from a textbook and not acting.

3rd) Gazzy can not act worth to save his life. When watching this, he can only stay on one and one emotion only: Over hyperactive. An example would be at 3:14. You mean to tell me that him saying “Um..” a few times is showing emotion? That is not it! I say: Drop Him!

4th) Iggy is suppose to be fourteen. Here he looks like he is seventeen! Now, I am aware that all the bird kids are suppose to be taller than their normal age, but he looks far too old! And he is not convincing as being blind. SO, if he is to be blind, then you are trying to tell me that sitting their like a wax sculpture with your mouth wide open is being blind? I think not!

5th) The entire voice over seen at 3:20 is just pitiful. I mean, that girl does not even try to add some emotion into her voice when she is trying to talk! Actually, now that I think about it, it sounds as if they were using the audio from the audio book to overlap that entire sequence.

6th) The overall acting is laughable at best! A scene that demonstrates my point is at 4:32. When Iggy starts talking, I tried everything not to shut off the video right there and then.

The only relatively good thing about the entire video would be Nudge. And that was mostly because of the fact that she was not in the video that much at all. If this is really what the world has to offer for the flock, then I am afraid at what this will turn out to be.
