Chapter Three
Update #1
Hey Vincent!
I do not know when you will be on next, so sense I want you updated nonstop about what is going on here, I figure that I will start something called 'Updates'. In a nutshell, they will be brief recaps of what happens with The Children Of Darkness and what wisdom I need from you. Now, I do hope that you can, at least, email me back when you can. Okay, enough of me jabbering on, let's start this letter.
It has been, towards me at least, lonely. Everyday, I grow more and more sad over you not being here. Strange about things like moving. They always make you realize how much you love someone. I mean, I loved you before you moved, but I just can not get you out of my mind. I do hope that you can sooner or later be able to come back.
Now, in concerns with The Children Of Darkness, there has been a few updates. You remember that guy that had went and ambushed us? Well, I ended up learning a few things about him. The first being is what his name is. His real name is Blaze Bachman. The second being is the reason why he even attacked us in the first place. To shorten this up, he apparently is part of an organization that was trying to put an end to any and all gangs that are living in Colorado. Now, he attacked us because he wanted to see if any of the rumors about us and our 'exploits' where even true. He would not say why he stopped when he saw your face (really weird). Now, his reason why he wanted to go and get rid of Angels & Demons is because of the fact that he and his two friend's were effected by the evil and corruption of Donnie and the hell they reined. He ended up talking to me, and asks if we could join their group.
Vincent, they have strong power and we could use that easily. I mean, they know all about us. Aware that you move, all of our pasts, it is kind of scary how he knows so much. But, with the power they have, we could get more information on what Angels & Demons would be up to because, believe me: More than likely they will attack us (mostly me) again and we will be needing protection at all costs.
Now, about the members, they are all tied with the thoughts. But for the most part, sense your departure, they have been pretty much good. They are all doing their jobs, and Tad is still getting on my last nerve. Just between us, he is starting to act like a dog that would not stop humping your leg. He does not seem to understand that, while you are away, you and I are still together. I am hoping he will soon learn, but knowing him, I doubt it.
So, how are things in Boise? To be honest, I hope things are going good up there. Have you made any friends and if so, what are they like?
Well, I have to go know. I hope things will be better for us.
Respond soon. I love you.
Cyri Cullen.
Cyri hit the send button and waited for the little message to appear that would tell her that her message was sent. She leaned back in he seat and had some heavy metal band blast threw her headphones as she tried to get her mind off of Vincent. Ever sense he left, she had been feeling more and more lonely. She thought that it was because this was the first guy that has never back stabbed her or maybe because he was not an entire asshole. She could not figure it at all out. While the music was playing, a few tears fell down from her face when a song about a total eclipse of the heart began to play.
What was worse was how Tad was acting. She understood that he cared about her and as such, wanted to be her guardian angel. What he does not realize is that there is a fine line that goes from caring to clinging, and Tad kept on crossing that line.
She has lectured him about it, but like most love sick teenage boys, what goes in one ear comes out the other. It tore at her. Part of her wanted to just get him to leave her alone, but because of all that they went threw, she could not find the courage nor the strength to go threw with that.
She picked up the phone, dialed half of Tad's phone number when Heidi called for her.
“Cyri! Please come down. Dinner's ready!” Cyri breathed a sigh of relief, returned the phone, and then walked down the stairs and into the kitchen.
For the majority of the time, they all ate in silence. The only sound was the lovely music that their forks and knives made on the plates. About fifteen minutes in, Mark put down his utensils and cleared his throat.
“Cyri,” He asked, breathing a heavy sigh. “what was the last thing you remember hearing about your parents.” Cyri, with some unintentional force, put down her fork.
“I thought I asked you both, nicely, never to bring up any of those sons of bitches up in a conversation when I am in hearing reach.”
“We know Cyri.” Heidi said. “But, we thought that you would want to know that both of them have just gotten out of prison.”
“I thought they were in for life.” Cyri voice started to have an edge to it.
“That is what we thought.” Heidi said. “That is the sad thing about this Government: the laws make no sense. Someone who kills someone gets a life sentencing for twenty five years while a robber gets life.”
“AND A RAPIST AND A DRUNK SHOULD GET DEATH!” and with yelling that, Cyri ran into her bedroom. The only thing that Mark and Heidi done was sigh. They would be hoping that by now, in her age, she would have at least been able to leave her past behind her.
They followed her up to her bedroom quietly and the only thing they heard was Cyri crying in a pillow.
“Told you we should not have mentioned it.” Mark said.
“I know dear.” Heidi went and walked down the stares. “But, she sooner or later was going to need to find out about all of this. Someone who has parents that are in prison do not go through their life not knowing the truth. I think we done the right thing in telling her now about all of this.”
“Are we ever going to tell her about who told us about their release?” Heidi gave Mark a look of disgust.
“Never. Even if she is not aware of it, we all know what she done to Donnie and it will tear her damaged soul even more if she realized who told us. Promise me darling that you will not say a word.” Mark put his hands around Heidi and leaned in to kiss her.
“Heidi, you know I love you and I will promise on that. But, for now on: No more telling her things about her former family. What next? We will be hearing about Dr. Dieter?”
“... I just do not get it.” She said to Job. “I mean, after all the hell that they caused me at the age that I was at, I thought that they would never see the light of day ever again.”
“What do you expect?” Job said over the phone. “look at our Government: we have sick pedophiles that run this country on the abuse of children being subjects to sexual torture and the crime system is beyond screwed up. It is only a matter of time before our society starts allowing someone to kill people based on who they are.”
“And do you want to know what is worse? They both expect me to just put the torture they endured onto me behind me and move on. How do you put a mother that neglected you and a father that raped you when you were young behind you? Or even for that matter a foster family that made you work in an illegal sweat shop for a few years? Now, I know that I am complaining about the only foster family that has ever loved me, but this is beyond idiotic.”
“Well, what will be your plan of action if you happen to have something of an encounter meant with them?”
“Simple: I will fucking kill them. They ruined my life more than what Ratliff done or for that matter what Donnie was going to do before I stopped him and no one should be able to live after something like that.” They both continued talking way into the night.
