Chapter Thirty Three
when it cam down to Zat, just saying Griffin's Local Subs would be just the ticket for him to sit down and relax on any day. He was currently sipping on some drink, waiting for Dumas to hurry up and bring their sandwiches over to their table. When he was finished and got over their, they ate in silence for a few minutes. Out side, they saw children playing in the streets, adults rushing back and forth. A typical day.
“So, what have you been up to recently?” Dumas asked him, gulping down his beverage.
“TO be honest,” Zat said. “Nothing much at all. I mean, this is how I see myself right now: our friends and us are in a group that gets revenge against others who harm others, and were does this lead us? To be honest, I just do not know.”
“More than likely, it would lead us to protecting the world and when it is done, we just move on. Besides, I doubt that this will last long. As long as Vincent does not blow this way out of context and does something drastic.”
“But to Tad, he already has.” Zat took another bite of his sandwich.
“What do you mean?”
“Oh right, you never pay attention to this sort of thing: Vincent and Cyri are now dating each other.” Dumas chocked for a few seconds on his food.
“Really? That is, rather odd do you say so?” Dumas asked, gulping down his drink.
“How is this odd?” Zat leaned over.
“Think about it.” Dumas put down his cup and cleared his throat. “Look at it like this: Every guy Cyri has ever dated ends up becoming a bastard from hell. I mean, look at Ratliff. Look at Donnie. Now, look at how those guys ended up.”
“You do have a point.” Zat said thoughtfully. “But I doubt that anything bad can or even will happen due to them being together.”
“But how can you be so sure?”
“I will put it like this: if he does anything to hurt her, then Cyri has an entire army of people that will back her up, betray Vincent, and take him down. Tho I strongly disbelieve that anything like that is going to happen.” When Zat stopped talking, in walked some random guy.
“Shit. Be right back.” Dumas got up and went to the cash register. A few minutes later, Dumas returned once the guy had seated.
“As we were saying, I doubt that anything is going to happen. 'London' would not do anything sense Cullen took care of him. If he did, then they would get revenge.”
“But,” Zat began to say.
“There is no but. Besides, this is not really wonderful lunch conversation to have.” Dumas' eyes looked towards that person that was eating away.
“Okay. Anyway, to change the subject, how has Tad been dealing with Vincent and Cyri dating?”
“How can you expect? He is beyond upset over it. Remember: he loves her to no end and to see him with someone that he despises and due to him not being able to fight him, he gets extremely upset. But, this is one thing that I have heard: him and Vincent have been at each others throats. Word around the campfire is that him and Vincent got into a full out fight earlier this week.” Dumas said.
“Really now?” Zat responded.
“Really. You remember those Japanese Giant Monster films? Well, from what I have heard, the fight that broke out was as destructive as that. Well, after me talking to Vincent, this is what happened:
Vincent was walking by himself among their neighborhood. It was a lovely day and sense Cyri would be out with Heidi, he figured why search threw his mind and reflect upon what he has done. As he was along his merry path, who comes up to join him then Tad. They were both silent for some time until Tad started to talk.
“You know that one day you are going to get your ass kicked, right?” Vincent stopped walking and looked at him.
“Now, what do you mean by that?” This really shocked Vincent for he was not expecting something like this to happen.
“I mean you worthless piece of shit that you are going to fuck over Cyri to no end! I mean, first you almost had her, again, raped with Ratliff. Then you had her act like some character from some fucking Swedish movie and sexually torture Donnie. I mean, my God! What's next? Have her on a leash and eat shit?!” Now, when Tad said that, Vincent had gotten pissed. And one thing Vincent has told me, when he get's pissed, you never want to be around him.
The first thing he done was punch Tad right in the neck. He fell face down but before he dragged Vincent down with him. Once Vincent was down, Tad crawled on top of him and started beating the living shit out of Vincent's face. Vincent had no idea what Tad was saying, but he did take a rock and bashed it against Tad's head. Once Tad was off of him, Vincent started kicking Tad's side repeatedly.
After a few minutes of that. Tad jumped up and grabbed Vincent by the thraot. You can imagine the shock on his face when Tad shoved him against a wall, strangling him. As Vincent was turning purple, we went and kicked Tad right in the balls. Once he was on the ground, he kicked Tad straight in the face. Then, as you can expect, he fell straight to the ground.
Vincent, his mouth spewing in blood, spat on Tad and officially removed him from The Children Of Darkness. His reason: for insulting a fellow member and not cooperating.
Well, that is all about that. The only last thing to say is that Cyri was pissed at what happened. She talked to Tad about this, only to realize that Tad wanted Cyri out of this. But, sense Cyri has gotten use to the two events she has taken a part of, she said that she will stay. But, I have the feeling that Tad will be back. And so does Vincent. Sense tomorrow him and Cyri are going to be going on a date, they asked me to supervise everything. Basically make sure that Tad does not attack them at all.” Once Dumas was done reciting in detail all that had happen, the only thing Zat could think up of was how the hell any of this was even true in the first place.
“To be honest, I find this a tad bit hard to believe. But, I look at it like this: sense I have nothing better to do, I will assess you tomorrow in supervising the love birds. I figure this: you are my closes friend and as such, if there will be an all out open brawl, then I want to be by your side when the time comes to fight. Were are they going to go?”
Dumas was shocked at what Zat said.
“To be honest, I am impressed with your loyalty towards me. But I doubt that anything is, will, or even shall happen. And they are going to that old Grindhouse near by. They are going to see some monster film or some Goth opera, I do not know.” For the rest of the time they are in silence, talking about very random topic like which monster is better, which girl is hotter, typical comparison talk.
Once the man threw down the money on the table and left, he wipt out his cell phone. He hit speed dial #1 and said only one thing into the phone. “I know where Vincent and Cyri are going to be at.”
