Donnie looked over at Mychael, who was busy going over some of the transcripts and the points that were to be made at the meeting. He was already aware of what the talks were to be about (that bitch Cyri), but he just needed something to distract him from that person that was at the table. From the looks of the others at the table, he was not the only one who was trying to ignore him.
His, being Dr. Dieter Lester, very presence with his thick German accent he had, only improved the dark tone he cast upon the entire meeting room. It was rumored that he was an ex-Nazi, and if he was, he sure as hell made it seem like he came out of a Hollywood film about the Third Reich. While they were all sipping their coffees, waiting, the front door opened and in walks on the scene Lee, Snoop, Oren, and Aaron.
“Why are you four so late?” Donnie asked as he looked at the clock and saw that they were thirty or so minutes behind. Josh nodded his head in agreement, looking at Oren and Aaron.
“We - that is Snoop and myself - were walking here when we ran into Oren and Aaron here. Sense they were on their way, we decided to follow them.” Lee said, pulling a seat to sit next to Mychael’s left. Snoop sat on his right. Oren and Aaron sat with Josh.
“Sense we now have everyone here,: Governor Fulaytor said. “Let me introduce a very important person plus a person from Cyri’s past: Dr. Dieter Lester. His purpose: to help us in the capturing of Cyri and to have Donnie get his revenge on her along with her parents for the secrets she started exposing. Now, before we begin, let me tell you a bit about Dr. Lester so you all know who we are dealing with. Dr. Lester -”
“If you would please be so kind, drop the entire ‘Dr.’ bullshit Herr Fulaytor.” Dr. Lestor’s voice boomed across the entire office. Almost everyone there looked at him, some in shock, at the sound and the deepness of his voice. To those that could see, they could tell that he had something of an evil, agitated look on his face.
“Uh… certainly Dieter. Anyway, were was I? Oh yes, his back story. Originally from Germany during the time of the Nazi control, Dieter experienced first hand the horrors of what Adolf Hitler had done. But, unlike most Germans of the time, he actually embraced what he had learned about. After the fall of the Third Reich, He and his family moved here to America in hopes to escape the prosecution Germany soon face due to World War II. But, even in America, Dieter was humiliated and shunned due to his heritage. Taking what he learned, he had his revenge on all of those the tormented him as a lad.
“Fast forward to the eighties. Now a middle aged man, he opened up something of a sweat shop in order to make a profit for cheap. Around his town were a vast number of homeless children and he figured why not them. As time wore on, he ended up disguising his shop as something of a half way home for troubled teens. All work in the shops were moved underground so that if anyone were to go and investigate, they would not find a single piece of evidence.
“Now, flash forward to the late nineties. Cyri just escaped Oren and Aaron and was now living in a foster home. Being a wealthy man and wanting to look good for his community, he went and adopted Cyri as a daughter. Once she was in his house, he made her promise never to look into the basement where the kids were being held at.
“But, like most children, she ended up looking into the basement and saw everything. She originally told the police, but nothing happened. You see, Dieter knew about the Government and some of their ‘Dark Secrets’ as you would call it and was, at the time, one of the suppliers. As long as he brought the goods, the members of congress would keep their mouths shut about all of this.
“As time wore on, Cyri started forming plans on escaping. So, one night she did and was caught by the police. But this time, these cops did not know about the facility, saw it, and told some of the members of congress that were not aware of the other member’s secret. So, the shop got shut down, the kids were taken into a few hospitals to get back to health sense they were basically skin and bones. As for Dieter, he was sent to be on trail in Washington for violence and abuse of minors.
“In the end, congress took pity on him (due to more of the members developing the same interest in his work) and bailed him out in secret and had him live a life of a different person. Basically, they changed his birth name, heritage that are kept in records, and to the public he is known as Hugo Linderrmann.” Everyone in the room looked at Dieter when Fulaytor finally stopped talking. They all knew that Lester was fucked up, but not like this. Not at all.
“Okay everyone, now we need to get to the main topic of this entire meeting. The topic: How to get back Cyri. As we all know, Cyri ruined a lot of Government kept secrets and is now in position to ruin us if possible. What we need to do is to devise a plan on how to get back at her. My idea is that we frame her for something that would require her to be taken into custody by the police of America and then, proof her guilty, finally having her in our position for us to go and do what we need to keep her quiet.” Fulaytor said.
“Would it be a good idea to just shoot her down quick and simple?” Snoop asked.
“I am afraid that would be too simple.” Donnie retorted. “If we kill her when she is out on the streets, there will be too many people that will notice. Plus, it will start something of an entire conspiracy that we do not need.”
“Conspiracy how?”
“That the Government is trying to take down a teenage girl or that she was involved with gangs and for the sake of gangs in Denver right now, that is the last fucking thing we need.” Donnie tried to lay back, ignoring the pain that will be left on his body.
Everyone was quiet as some member mumbled back and forth to each other for the longest of times. Numerous idea spurred out on what to do about his entire situation. Some of the suggestions ranged from having her kill one of her friends to framing her for being a prostituted (the last one dismissed by Mychael). It was some time later that Oren opened her mouth.
“What if we do this: Frame her for murdering her step parents?” Everyone looked at Oren when she said this.
“Now, why would that work?” A short, stubby man on the far end of the table asked, looking threw the smoke from his cigar.
“We could have it out that she has finally cracked, can not continue to live in with foster parents, and the trauma of what happened to her drove her to the point of insanity. I read something similar in newspapers while me and Aaron were in prison. It is common.” Everyone was quiet, thinking about this.
“As far as I can tell,” Lester said. “It is the best damn idea we have as of now. I say we go for it: have her foster parents executed, then take her into an insane asylum. We will have the media believed that she is legally insane and in need of some medical care, have her put away, then do what we want with our new toy.” After a vote, they decided to go with Oren’s plan.
The iced air of the night froze Oren to her bones as she walked with Aaron to their home. The entire time, Oren was wondering if this was really what she wanted to do or if this would bring the end of the world to everyone involved. She also did not want to do this because Cyri is, after all, her daughter. So, her reasoning to do so? Because she, being Oren, lost a good percentage of her life in prison due to her. She had to be punished and this appears to be the best way.
Aaron wanted to do this with a burning passion. He admitted that he was drunk when he raped her, but she should have understood that. Also because she broke the number one rule of families: What happens at home stays at home. No exceptions. So, he figured that this way he can get his revenge against his now dead-to-him daughter.
