The Book Of Vincent. Chapter Seven.

Chapter Seven.

“Hey, Vincent,” Cyri said over his cell phone. It is great having friends, but it is annoying as hell when they call most of the time.

“Yes?” he said questionably.

“I got some bad news. My uncle had died.”

“Oh, my God! Cyri I am so sorry!” Vincent exclaimed in shock.

“It’s okay. I did not know him anyway. But listen. Sense the other girls will be coming with me, I talked to one of my friends and he said he will take care of you until we come back.” It was still kind of strange that she was kind of calm, but then again, she did not really know her uncle that much.

“Cool, who is the guy? And why do I need taking care of?” this really got on Vincent’s nerves.

“His name is Job. Just so you know, he looks like a cross-breed between Rob Pattinson and Quentin Tarantino. And, if you hang out with him, then be prepared to be mobbed by numerous girls because of the fact that he is considered the hottest guy in school. And he is Jadis’ main crush. Well, I need to go. So see ya!” Then she hung up, leaving Vincent to his thoughts. That was on Saturday.

Now, it is Monday. And Tad was not on the bus, so Vincent was sad. But all of it changed when he got off of the bus and everything changed. Even though he is not homosexual, he could not help but admit that the person who must be Job was, indeed, handsome. When Job saw Vincent, he smiled and walked over.

“So, you must be Vincent.” he said with a care free laugh. He walked over and put his hand on top of Vincent’s shoulder. “Yeah, you will do fine.” then they walked into the building. When they got inside, a lot of girls where calling out his name, over and over again. It was starting to get onto Vincent’s nerves.

“Does that ever get annoying?” he finally asked when the area was quiet.

“From time to time, but you sooner or later get over it. Oh, there they are.” he said as a group of other guys were standing. When they saw them walk toward them, the group went and started talking. It was hard to understand what they were saying until Job had them shut up.

“Okay, this is Vincent. He belongs with Cyri. You guys are to treat him with the most upright respect.” they were then silent. Then, after a while of silent, one of the kids stepped forth and extended his hand.

“I am Zat.” He looked thin, had dirt blond hair, and his lips were always pursed. And then the others follow pursuit.

“I am Dumas.” He was over-weight, had short, brown hair, and his cheeks were red.

“I an Fron.” The best way to describe him is to imagine Zac Effron or Joe Jonas, just make them, not gay.

“And I am Ronnie.” Again, the best way to describe him is to imagine a young, Ronnie James Dio, just with dark skin. Vincent thought, ‘Is it me, or does this seem to much like when I met Cyri’s friends. He was continually thinking about, until the bell for homeroom had rung. He decided he will think about the similarities later.

“Vincent!” Job yelled half way across the lunch room. When he found them, he was surprised at how they all acted. Almost like robots. And, it appeared that they were the only ones not causing mayhem or mischief. When he sat down, all of the guys looked around cautiously then, they started talking. First, was Ronnie.

“Okay, Vincent. We already know all about you. And we know the reason why Cyri is having us protect you. Do you know the reason why?” Now that is a question that has been on his mind for some time.

“Yeah, why? Is there some huge, dark secret that if I know it will destroy the world?” He was joking himself. The others had weary looks when he said this.

“In a way, yeah.” Ronnie said. “You see, as probably know, there are three main gangs in this school. They are: The Children Of Ghetto, The Children Of Blondes, and The Children Of The Nobodies. As there names suggest, C.O.G. are made up of, now remember, I can say this because I am black, therefore not making it racist. Anyway, the C.O.G. are made up of a bunch of black kids with one or three white kids that think they are black, but really are not. The reason why they formed this group is because of the fact that they believe that white people should pay them back for the years of slavery. In my opinion, I say that time has paid for it self. I mean, look at my family. My whole family is black, and you don’t see us complain. So why should they? The next group is The Children Of Blondes. They are nothing but a bunch of dumb blondes trying to bake themselves look smart, but really, they are not. And then you got The Children of Nobodies, and I believe the title is pretty self-explanatory.” Vincent only thought that this is turning out to be more like a gang movie.

“Has there been any hard core wars? Or anything that could be used to start a war?”

“Thankfully, no. But there has been some tension between them and us due to some pervert.” He said giving Fron a dirty look.

“What?” Fron said in a carefree sort of way.

“You know what. Like when the school authorities caught you in the bathroom with one of the sluts (female members of C.O.G.) with your parents between your legs and her shirt off.” Fron only smiled.

“Listen jackass, it is no laughing matter. You know to damn well that Ratliff or the trio would do anything to show them that white people are pure evil!” Now, Vincent is just plain confused.

“Who is Ratliff and the trio?”

“People who you never want to encounter.” Then, Job took over.

“Okay, Ronnie, if you are such a wimp, I will tell him. Ratliff is the leader of The Children Of Ghettos. He is one of the most ruthless, most disturbing people in the world. And of the most richest also. He was prosecuted on, at least, ten sexual abuse charges, and prostitution, five drug charges and countless others. He was able to loose all of those charges due to the fact that he was able to hire a lot of lawyers. One of the other most disturbing things is that he is white who acts black.” Vincent’s jaw just dropped.

“Now the trio is a bunch of kids that are his best friends and bodyguards. There names are: Mycheal, Lee, and Snoop. they are basically Ratliff split into three people. But they are worse due to the fact that they specialize in certain aspects. Mycheal: A Pimp. Most of the Sluts he use to get money from people that want to get laid. Lee: Drug and Rape charges. Known for exporting drugs to numerous students, and know for raping any woman that does not pay up. The last woman that was rape was so messed up in the head that she had to leave the school and go to a mental institution. And Snoop: Silencer. If you find out anything that could get them into jail, then it is his job to silence you. Simple as that.” Now, Vincent is crapping his pants. He knew of gangs being her, but NOT Blood and Crips type of gangs. He is now wondering if it was worth coming here.

He decided to walk home that day. He needed to clear his mind. As he was walking, he realized he was not alone.

“Why are you following me?” he asked Job.

“Doing my job for a friend.” he said in a carefree way. “Let me guess, you want me to tell you my Life Story?” Now he is talking Vincent’s language.

“If you don’t mind.” Then, taking a deep breath, he began to tell his tale.

Unlike most of your friends, I was born with a very happy life. To make this short, the best way to imagine my life is to think of all of those sitcom families and then you get my life. That was before I knew the truth. I was raised to believe the world is a happy, carefree world, but we all know it is the exact opposite.

We know the world is a cruel place with no sense of moral fiber or decency. Example: TV. You turn on the TV and what do you find? Drugs and sex galore. Biggest examples are the music videos. First off, the lyrics are terrible, all about violence, drugs, and beating women. Sad and sick. Second are the gangs, and I don’t think I need to tell you about that.

So after finding the truth, I started to disbelief everything I was told. Then I made friends with Zat, Dumas, Ronnie, Fron, and Tad. Now you. Which leads me to today.

“Okay, my life is not that eventful, but it is a life and that’s all that counts, right?” Vincent nodded his head. “Oh, before I forget, me and the guys are going to my house to watch some movies. It will be on the weekend. If you want, you can come. Oh, and if you need to know where my house is, ask Tad.” Vincent thought about it, and said yes.

“Sure.”

“Great. See you Saturday!” then Job ran off.
