The Memoris Of A Murderer: An Original Short Story

THE MEMOIR'S OF A MURDERER

AN ORIGINAL SHORT STORY BY ZACH BREHANY
WITH ASSOCIATION BY KHADIJAH FARIS

One of the benefits of never being notice by your peers is that you can basically do whatever the hell you want and never being suspected of a goddamn thing. I love it! Take for instance what I am planning to do: cold blooded murder. Why? Because quite frankly, the little bastard I am going to kill broke my best friend's heart. Oh, dear me, how very rude. I forgot to introduce myself! I am terribly sorry; I hope that you can forgive me for my rudeness. My name is James Peter Friedman, and as I am writing this little memoir; I am sitting in my lovely home after dealing with a very terrible accident towards my right foot. You see, I accidentally stepped on a piece of glass whilst being outside, it almost went straight through my foot; I’ve been bleeding nonstop, and it’s really quite annoying. Anyways, I am fifteen, I weigh about two hundred and fifty pounds and I am having a major coffee rush which has caused me to write this. While writing this, I am listening to the Black Sabbath album: Dehumanizer. God, I love Dio. Well now; back to the story:

The man that shattered Tarja's (My utmost best friend) heart was a man named Ariel. They had been going out for quite some time, he pampered her and treated her like the angel she is. Then broke her heart when she discovered that he had been cheating on her constantly. Last week, she attempted to commit suicide because of what he had done to her poor soul; I had to threaten to slaughter her cat (something I would never do as long as I breathe) if she didn’t come down. Thank God she did come down, for now; I had a reason to kill Ariel. For the past few days I tracked him down, cautiously, painstakingly, practically stalking him. I followed him until I knew his entire schedule by heart. Tarja had no knowledge of me committing this crime, and that was exactly what I wanted.

I watched Ariel walk out of his house of his new play thing, his shirt off and he was sweating profusely. When my eyes scanned over him; his chest, arms, and abdomen; I finally understood why a lot of girls our age wanted him. Then the girl came into my sight, striding over to him her bra and underwear the only things covering her bare skin. She smiled playfully at him; snaking her arms around his abdomen. Her mouth moved leisurely, she was talking to him; and by how he moved his head snidely; it seemed he was saying ‘no’ in a beguiling manner. Then; to convince him, she put her hands down the front of his pants; his interest peaked back into the conversation. Muscle heads would do anything for sex, it’s repulsive. Does anyone still consider the idea of chastity until marriage sacred anymore? No? Well kids this generation should! My attention span for waiting grew thinner and thinner by the second, turning into a narrow road no one should ever come across in the midst of the night; my boredom finally got the best of me and I decided to blast the album ‘End of an Era’ by Nightwish through every crevice of my head; attempting to drown out the pain of waiting.

About an hour had flown by when I saw him again; the first thing he did was stick his head out the front door, surveying the area around him. After a few minutes; seemingly satisfied he yanked his head back into his house, strolled over to the girl from before and kissed her, walking out the front door with her a few seconds later. The warm air welcomed him immediately as he started walking towards his truck, a used condom in hand that he carelessly threw into the myrtle colored bushes. When I gazed over his hand again something caught my eye; the remains of some clear, thick substance; it pays to have good eye sight.

Ariel leaped into his truck, birthed the engine, and then headed out west. Perfect; he is far too predictable. I began to dash towards him conservatively; he started swerving slightly. This guy is drunk; this has got to be my lucky night! I followed him for approximately five minutes, then the sound of an explosion rung through my ears from down the road; I saw the entire marvelous scene with my own eyes. The tires were all aflame, there was a dent in the ground, fire was dancing its way over his polyester seats, and then the most wonderful view of them all; the son of a bitch himself.

I paraded over towards where his body laid; he had a few burns, an abundance of bruises, and patches of his hair had burnt off. Grabbing a fistful of his remaining hair, I yanked his body over to the nearest tree, setting his body near the trunk; I peered into my bag and pulled out his fate; three gray nails and a shiny hammer.

“In the name of God, all impure souls of the living shall be banished into eternal damnation, Amen.” (A prayer I always recite right before I do something completely sinful and wrong; like this for example.) I began by grabbing a rope and tying his feet together, surely cutting off any circulation that still dared to coarse through his veins. For a second, I swore that I felt the rope cut into his skin. I shook off the thought as if it were nothing. Gingerly, I placed his feet onto the tree, and then carefully aimed the nail's point towards the center of his feet; finally nailing the piece of iron straight through his feet and into the tree. He screamed in pure agonizing pain as the nail ripped through his skin like a warm knife through butter. Only adding to the pain, I turned his body completely upwards and tied his hands around the tree. After they were secure, I took the two remaining nails and ripped them through his hands, more bloodcurdling screams followed. I calmly turned around until I reached the front of him. His eyes wide open; I peered into my bag once again, pulling out a smaller bag, searching around in it casually, I smiled contently when I found what I had been looking for; a long, jagged butcher knife. His eyes widened with fear but I shrugged it off as I began performing the last thing he would ever see; my repossessing of his organs.

I awoke a bit earlier than I had expected, but at least I’m not bitching, right? Anyways, I turned to my alarm clock that was supposed to wake me up at five thirty, but instead I woke up at five o' clock. I have got to stop thinking of a time before I go to bed. You know, I am just like that one guy in Left Behind. You know, that one guy in the first book that was a reporter and he said that if he thinks of a time right before he goes to sleep, he will wake up at that time? The same principals apply here.

I attempted to get some extra sleep, but I had no such luck. I turned on my desk lamp and pulled out the book I was reading at the time: ‘The Golden Compass’ by Philip Pullman. Pullman’s entire ‘His Dark Material’ trilogy is fantastic, I do not care what people say, I love it, thank you very much! I was currently at the part where Iorek is about to fight Iofur when I realized I had forgotten to do something; shut off the alarm on the clock. Agitated, and yet thankful, I punched the ‘off’ button on the clock and jumped out of bed. Casually lying on my covers, my cat glanced at my nude body as I walked to the front of my room. I usually sleep naked because no matter how little clothing I put on when I go to sleep, I always end up feeling as if I am on fire. So, to take care of the problem, I sleep naked.

I strolled over to the bathroom and locked the door handle. I know I am the first one up, but the cat always seems to know how to enter the bathroom when I am taking a shower. Turning on the faucet I waited for the water to warm up, when it finally got hot I jumped in. Whilst in the shower the only thing on my mind was Tarja. Now, I am her friend, but for some reason I also wish that we can be more than friends. For a while I had a humongous crush on her that would never seem to give up and go away. That was the main reason why I befriend her in the first place; so I could get close to her. Now, we are good friends and I still wish that we could be in a relationship. But I must constantly remind myself that it is mostly her choice if she wants to go out with me or not.

After my shower, I checked the time and it was five fifty five A.M. As usual, the shower lasted twenty five minutes on the dot. I glanced into my closet; the clothes I was looking for were all black. Now, I must point out that I am not Gothic or Emo; I simply wear black because it is the only pieces of clothing that I can match. Black and Black, you really can't go wrong with that, right? When I had finally put on all of my clothes, ending with my shirt, I leisurely walked out of my room and headed straight into the kitchen. I brewed up some of my coffee and started taking huge, sinful gulps, one after another. When the clock finally read six twenty, I went into my mother's room to check on her. She said her usual greeting (a tired ‘hello’) and then I quietly left.

I am not that hard to spot out in a group of kids. For starters, I am rather hefty, I have this long, flowing mane of dark brown (sometimes it’s almost light brown) hair, and I wear a pair of black horned-rimed glasses (I have negative three hundred vision). Then of course, my trademark that makes me stand out like no other; a long ebony leather jacket. The wind was blowing very hard today and there was a slight chance of snow, perhaps even ice! If that happens, you what that means: No School! Anyways, there is one main bus-stop at the front of my cul-de-sac that I am supposed to go to, but because of this one kid in my third period class always seems to make me skin crawl every time I see him, I decide to instead walk to Tarja's bus stop.

By the time I arrived there, I was, as usual, the only one there. So instead of just standing there mindlessly, I shoved my hands in my coat pocket and waited; singing the Queensryche song ‘Empire’ in my head. When I got through singing it five times, the first people finally showed up: Skylark and Dante. They are two seventh graders that get on my last nerve. But, since Tarja is at times a very soft, happy soul, she usually mingles with them. I watch them from a distance; they were bickering again when she arrived.

When she came by, she was wearing a magnificent pair of red and black three inch high heeled shoes, a pair of black pants, and I could see that she was wearing a shirt, but she had this black shawl on that covered her entire body. I always joke and say that she resembles a giant crow or a raven, but then she counters that by saying I am the “Goddamned Devil”.

When she finally stopped walking, she began talking about random things, lectured the kid known as Dante, and then stayed silent until the bus came. We all filed orderly into the bus with me being the last one. As we walked towards the back, I caught a glimpse of my older brother sleeping, on his opposite, the kid that annoys me to no end, and a group of high school students. Thank God they did not notice us or decide to rip on us. I took my place behind Tarja and pulled out once again my copy of ‘The Golden Compass’. I was getting into the book until Maynard came. Maynard is the closes thing to a male best friend I can get to; mostly because he is there when I need someone to amuse me, keep me company and when needed, someone to order around. And of course, as usual, he sat next to Tarja. Now, I understand that they were what people consider “experimental dating”, but an annoyance boils up inside me whenever I see them sit together or talking together. In a few ways, pisses me off to no end, I do not know why. It must be a guy thing. When the bus pulled into our school, I let them get off first just to show that I am not in fact the “Goddamned Devil”, and then I follow quietly.

When I hit the school’s ground, Maynard turned towards me, “Why do you keep following me?” he said in his usual medium toned voice.

“Because I can, and I will. Don't like it, tough.” I said in my usual haunting, deep voice. Then, both of us laughed.

Tarja looked at us, and then smiled softly as we three walked into the school itself, after a few moments, I turn right and start walking towards the school's library. Along the way, I was encountered by a few teachers that said their greetings. It does of course after a while get annoying to hear all of the, “Good Mornings!” everyday. But, I do not want to appear as an asshole so I respond by countering their greetings with mine as I reach my destination.

Ever since I can remember I have had a fascination with books, they have always seemed like my passage into other worlds. I love the feel of the papers as they brush against my skin, the odor of the new, untainted by human hands books just waiting to be opened so they can revile the thrills of the worlds and characters that live between the pages. When I entered into the library, I was greeted by the library's main operator. She smiled, said ‘hi’, and then continued on with the job she is paid to do. Then I began work on my job: restocking the shelves with books. I am always fascinated by the books kids had to read for a grade. Because most of the time, the books are less then one hundred and fifty pages. What happened to the days in which kids read books like ‘Tom Sawyer’, or ‘Huckleberry Finn’? Or even ones like ‘Peter Pan’, ‘Frankenstein’, ‘Jekyll and Hyde’, or even for that matter ‘Dracula’? I will never understand.

When I had finished my job, I headed straight to my home room; I was greeted as always with the same solitude that I always feel whenever I entered the room. I never really talk to anyone here because there is no need to talk, and that is a lesson I think teenagers should learn: only talk when it is necessary. Nothing really happened during my school hours, that is, until it was time to go home. As I was walking towards the bus that would take me home, I was encountered by the king of all annoyance: Maynard. He came up to me, grinning, and began talking to me about useless, forgettable topics until we got onto the bus and he went to terrorize the sixth and seventh graders while I slipped into my leather jacket and waited patiently for Tarja to arise unto the bus. When she came up, her shawl was hanging out of her giant backpack. It had the cover of the Nightwish album: ‘Dark Passion Play’ posted on it.

When she reached the back of the bus, she and Maynard started talking as if they were the king and queen of gossip. He was seated in the last seat of the first row, Tarja was seated on the last seat on the second row, I was seated on the next to last seat of the second row. I put my feet up on the opposite seat and watched Tarja and Maynard talk, argue, and at one point even Tarja taking off one of her high heels just to hit Maynard with it. Maynard had a compulsive disorder that caused him to continually poke Tarja in the side; my main reason for being there is to make sure that the bus ride home didn’t turn into a blood bath.

After about twenty minutes or so, all three of us hopped off the bus and started on our walk home. While we were walking, two very annoying sixth graders kept on talking nonstop, never learning when to shut up, and it was getting on poor Tarja's nerves. She fell behind momentarily to lecture and yell at the sixes, whilst Maynard and I were talking about some easily forgotten subject, watching the view of Tarja acting like a mini dictator. Maynard and I have this habit of not moving until Tarja catches up, or until she starts walking again after she had stopped. I do not know why Maynard does it (I believe that he is trying to copy me, or he is trying to find a way to have Tarja fall in love with him again) but I do it because of one simple reason: I have nothing better to do with my time. When Tarja catches up, we bid our farewells to Maynard and then we flee to our own homes. It is about a ten minute walk to her house, fifteen minute to mine. At first we were, as usual, dead silent. We didn’t really talk much due to the fact that there was nothing that struck us as seemingly important to talk about. So, walking in the silence, I finally decided to yack on about some useless bullshit (Stuff like: ‘what type of guys are you seeing?’, ‘Seen any good movies lately?’, ‘Anything happen at school today?’, etc). Until we reach her house then we bid our farewells, parting our own ways.

Whenever I walk to my house, I usually sing a random song under my breathe to pass the time instead of just walking in silence. Now, I know what you all are thinking: ‘Why doesn't he get an Ipod or MP4 player like a regular person?’ Well, quite frankly, I hate them. They are nothing but useless chunks of metal that are destroying the economy, like MTV. When I reach the front of my house, the first thing I notice is Fluffy, my pet calico cat. God, she is the sweetest, most adorable, and yet the most idiotic cat you will ever meet in your life. So, when I open the door, I have to push her back with my foot so she does not run out side. After taking off my jacket, I see my mom in her bedroom. She was lying on her side watching reruns of shows like: Star Trek, Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, etc. (she is into science fiction). She says ‘hi’, I say ‘hi’ (useless bullshit, as usual), she tells me what the cats are doing, I pet Stormy, her pure white Persian cat, and then I leave the room and go straight into the kitchen to fix myself a cup of coffee. I checked the time and it was three twenty P.M. My brother, Stephen, would be home soon, and he is not the kind of person you want to be around first thing when he gets home. So, I grabbed my coffee and went straight into my bedroom. Fluffy followed like a good daughter, following her father.

After chugging down my coffee, I lay down onto my bed and passed out. The dream I had was about the repossession of Ariel.

After hammering his hands and feet to the tree, I ripped off any remnants of his shirt. There was sweat on his muscles, and that was a good thing since the knives I brought with me did not cut well through dry skin. I stood back and examined his entire body; this boy was indeed impressive, it was almost as if he were a Greek god.

“Do you even know who I am Ariel?” I asked him as I gazed upon him.

“You are the mother fucker that is going to hell for what you are doing to me!” He screamed in agony. I curled my fist up and punch him forcefully in the pelvic region. He hollered at the top of his lungs. I can see why because his penis was still erect and I heard something crack when I slammed my fist there.

“Wrong answer, you rejected porn star!” I yelled at him. “The reason I am hear is because God sent me to punish those who sin.”

He shook his head as to say that he did not sin. “Oh, yes my boy, you did sin. Your sin is cheating on Tarja; your sin is getting that girl you just screwed pregnant!”

He looked at me as if I were out of my mind. But he knew as well as I knew. Why? Well, dear reader, one thing I forgot to tell you is that the condom he threw out had a hole at the top, and I saw that the remains of sperm were spilling out of the top. There has also been a string of teenage pregnancies through out the school and girls not wanting to revile the father because of Ariel’s reputation. “Also, you were known for beating kids that were different, you remember a little Jewish boy named John Schwartz? Of course you do you sick fucker! Well, if you remember everything right, because he was so different, you had the tendency to beat him to no end! To give yourself a reason to beat him nearly to death, you said his family was reasonable for the death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, one major flaw; you are an atheist! You do not care about The Holy Bible or God! The only reason why you even went to church was to get close enough to Tarja to show her you were the right guy since she wants to date people that are followers of God. Lying; another sin. So, why am I here? To do God's work, yeah, he told me to get rid of scum like you! And now, I will do it.”

I went to the bag that had my knives in it and pulled out a radio, I always work with music blaring. I took another look at him as I flipped through my music. He looked like he was a country boy, a guy who hated heavy metal with a passion (Another choice that is not good in my book.). So, I found a copy of the Black Sabbath album ‘Mob Rules’ and found track number six: ‘Country Girl’. Now, just to get off topic here for a second, I love the Dio era of Black Sabbath with a passion, it is without a doubt, the best era ever. Now, back to the story:

After setting up the music, I had this idea, to make him feel an excruciating amount of pain, I unbuttoned his pants and pulled them down, and then I went and pulled down his now bloody briefs. “You are a big boy, I see.” I said as I took some water and removed some of the blood so I would know what to do next. I grabbed his testicle sack and could feel that both of them had been busted when I punched him. So, I took one of my knives and cut both of them cleanly off. Of course, screams of pain followed. Now, once were his testicles were removed and replaced with a river of blood. I decided that voice of his was getting on my last nerve. So, I took his balls and shoved them into his mouth duck taping his mouth shut so he could not spit them out. Now onto the main place of business,

I grabbed one of the knives, hit play on the radio, cranked up the music loud, and then stabbed his abdominal area. Blood gushing out into puddles, I sawed the nice and dull blade up, then diagonally and ripped off the sheds of skin. Now, I can see his internal organs. They were a marvelous sight to behold, to see the way God crafted each organ to fit into the human body. I went straight to the kidneys; I wrapped my hands around each one and carelessly ripped them out. Then threw them onto the ground, I saw tears coming out of his eyes as that job was finished. I then went, with a joyfully smile and proceeded to slaughter the rest of his organs, one at a time. To see them flood out as I released them was simply amazing for me to watch. Then, I saw his lungs and heart I saw the heart beat at such a high speed that I took a second and counted how many beats where being beat in a minute, I lost count it was so fast. I looked at his face and said: “I am about to put you out of your misery. Right now, what I just done by releasing you organ is pure Heaven compared to where you will be going. Tell Lucifer that I said “Hi!” I then went and ripped out his heart, he died instantly.

I took a step back and admired my work, satisfied with the look of his now distraught body, I went and walked away. I left the knives and radio and organs there, I would not need them. I went to the middle of the road and started walking back where I came from. The only thought that went through my mind was: ‘Would I kill again?’ The only answer I had was; if the lord asked me again, then I will. The night air felt great as my long two-toned brown hair was tossed in the wind. The next part of the murder was about to commence.

I saw the girls’ house where Mr. Pervert came out of at the beginning and found the bushes I was hiding in, and found this red wire. Next to an already burnt wire (the one that caused the destruction of his truck). The wire led all the way to inside the tree that Ariel was murdered on. I had a lighter that had a symbol of a lone wolf in graved and let the wire on fire. I had a good ten minutes before the tree explodes and all evidence would be wiped away. Or in this case “Blown” away, I ran as fast as my feet would carry me until there was one minute and thirty seconds left on the clock. I ran until I saw a yellow sign in the middle of the road that said: ‘Construction: turn back.’ Right across from the sign was a few trees; I walked straight towards those trees and found a black sheet that covered a car. I removed the sheet and gazed upon my white 2003 Mustang. Unlocking the car, I jumped in and birthed the engine to life. Messing with the C.D. Player, I turned it on to the song ‘Sympathy for the Devil’.

I went, and drove away. As I was driving, I was thinking about how perfect this went, everything from me stalking the guy, to me making sure that everything worked out all right, to me getting the Construction signs. After a minute thirty seconds, there was a huge explosion that tore up about a hundred yards of pavement and trees in a glorious fire. Now the body was destroyed for the tree was hollowed out and I went in and filled it with gasoline, random flammable chemicals I could find like cleaning supplies, soaps, etc. It is actually shocking how much you can find to explode things with simple house hold chemicals.

After a few seconds, I stopped the car and turned back to look at the explosion. Now, there would be no traces of me whatsoever now. Oh, about the clothes, I removed them and stuffed them inside Ariel's corpse right before I left. There was as of right now no sign that I slaughtered him. Why? Because I looked straight down at the ground and saw a burnt hand. Well, the only way I knew it was his hand was because of this ring he wore, the rest of the hand was burnt to a crisp. I stomped on the hand and picked up the ring. Looking at it, I decided to keep it as a reminder of this night. Across the now sea of flames, I could hear sirens blaring, warning that the law enforcement and fire fighters were coming to check out the scene, good thing I lived far away from this area. So, with Ozzy Osbourne's version of ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ (I love that song) playing, I drove straight into the entombing darkness.

I awoke from my nap a few hours later with a smile on my face, I sat up and walked straight into my office and sat at my computer. I opened word pad and started punching out a short, little story entitled: “The Memoirs of a Murderer”.

Rock N Roll Children. Part One.

Part One: How a story of love and redemption began.

Whenever it rains, a lot of emotions run thew those you call “humans”. They become sad, the rain represents tears. They become happy, the rain represents tears of joy. Or you are like me, a wizard, in which case rain represents boredom, and the curse of pure utter loneliness. Ever sense I became a wizard, my life has been extremely pathetic. Because there aren't that many wizards left (no females), or people seem to understand me. So, frustrated that people seem to waste love by divorcing, committing suicide, or having an affair with someone and learning to live with each other threw what is called “tolerable hate”, I decided to help people fix there lives, so the only true magic humans possess, which is love, can be preserved. But I never thought that I would help two teenagers. I still remember the events very clearly.

The whole week, we have been granted with some of the queerest weather in a long time. At first, it was snowing. It was blinding. Then, it started to rain and thunder with sounds like someone breaking a harp. Smashing it with a mallet. And that was when I first saw them. Between them, I first saw the girl. She was dressed as if she just came out of a punk-rock concert. Her jeans had rips around the knee areas. Her hair has dark blonde, short, spiky.

She was looking around, she had a empty guitar case next to her that bared her name: Korrina. Pretty name. I was wondering why such a young girl would be wondering around a dark and dangerous ally way at around midnight. I felt sorry for her, so I grabbed one of my cloaks, the black one, and then I saw the event that started this entire story about love and redemption. And it began when a young man that had dyed black hair, long bangs that covered half of his face approach Korrina. He was carrying a large bag, and she did not look impressed. Before I continue with this story, I must explain to you that between the windows and the mind numbing clash of thunder, I could not hear a single word that they said. So, I had to read there lips. That does come useful when you become partly deaf.

“You're late. Again!” she sounded upset. “Do you know how long I have been waiting here? Oh, why should I tell you. If you truly cared about me, then you would at least give a flying fuck. Anyway, explain yourself, Aaron. You were suppose to be hear at around six o' clock! Gottverdammt.” Arron liked it when she spoke in a different language. This time it was German.

“First off, I am sorry that I was late,” Aaron said in his best apology-toned voice. He was hoping that when she figured out why he was late, she would be happy. “I was late because, well, before we ran away I saw an add in a newspaper that said “Job Opening” and I figured that if we are going to be living on our own we will need money, so I applied to the job!” He was now praying that it would work.

“Okay,” Korrina said after a few minutes. “I suppose I do not need to kill you know. I mean, you could have at least told me that you were getting a -”she stopped. Because she just then noticed something that highly disturbed her.
“Where the hell is the guitar?” Aaron had only one thing going threw his mind: Oh, Shit. He was hoping that she would not find out.

“Okay, I'll come out. I had to pawn it.” Now, she was pissed.

“You did what?!?!?!?!”

“I need money for the job.” She went and grabbed his bag.

“Fine, what is in the bag?! Uh?” When she grabbed it, the contents fell onto the floor. There was a hat, a bellhop jacket, and a name tag that said: Aaron Smith. “Okay, Mr. Smith, you are a sell out now?

“Look, they require money for the job. God, I could be making enough money in a week to buy you a new better guitar!” She was still not pleased.

“I hope you realize that that guitar was also mine! You know what? Fuck you, Aaron. Fuck you! We are fucking threw now!” Then, as she started to cry, the rain started again. He is still wondering why he done this, but he grabbed Korrina by the arm and threw her and himself into my shop.

When they stumbled in, the were greeted by a sign that said: Zachariah the Wizard's Magic Shoppe. They looked around at all of the objects I sold: Statues of angels, demons, gargoyles, etc. The books that laid peacefully on the shelf, a large wardrobe, and a giant crystal ball that was hosted by a dragon's claw (which, to tell you, my dear reader the truth, that is an actually Dragon Claw. Given to me by the great King Arthur for me helping him out once). When I had enough of a suspense, I reveled my self to them. Lets just say that they were shocked that they saw a little old man.

They were shocked out of there mind when they saw such a little old man appear out of nowhere in a black cloak. I did not think I looked that terrifying, but I am not of today's time or fashion.

“Who are you?” Aaron said as he looked at me.

“I am the one that will set things right.” Now, they were puzzled. “And, yes, I already know everything that there is to know about you two. Korrina was meant to be wild. You, Aaron, is only a child. But you can only feel each other. Both of you are paper and fire. Angel and liar. The Devil of one another.” Both of them looked at each other as if they were on cocain. They never met this man before, They never even thought the shoppe was still in existence. They only knew that there was a building, but did not know if it was in effect.

Korrina was about to speak, until she heard this terrible sound. The entire room was a blinding white as she felt herself falling down a hole. It must have been deep, for she felt that it must have been hours. Tired, she decided to fall a sleep. Aaron on the other hand, remembered what he last saw. He saw Zachariah shoot something like thunder out of his thumb, index finger, and little finger at them both. When Aaron was falling, all around was pure darkness. He is extremely used to darkness and night, but this for some reason frightened him. He couldn't breathe. Couldn't think. Couldn't do anything.

Laughing, I closed the blinds on the window and put up a “close” sign on the door. I wondered if they will be happy that I just saved there life's. For, you see, before the story began, this hot-shot guy try hitting on little Korrina. More than likely he was drunk. And when Aaron got woven into this story, Mr. Hot Shot was still trying to hit on her. So, Aaron went and started beating the guy senselessly. Hey, he deserved it. But after they got into my shop and I reveled myself to them, I saw that there was the guy again and this time he was not alone. So, determined to teach them something about love and to make sure there is no blood shed, I went and done something, odd. All I will say for what I done is that I went toward the crystal ball that was in the middle of the room. I meditated and I could see inside of it. As of right now, I can not see nothing. Until I heard a terrible sound, just like someone broke a harp. This ought to be exciting.

The Book Of Vincent. Chapter Ten.

Chapter Ten

Ever sense he had confirmed that Cyri and Job’s friends would be coming over to his house, he had been preparing non-stop in preparation for there arrival. He was wondering if what they told him was true or not. So, when the time hit twelve o’clock p.m., his heart started to race. Every second that went buy got him more and more tense. It was twelve o’ five p.m. when he heard the door knock.

As he went to the front door; Cyri, Ronnie, Job, Jadis, Zat, Jack, Tad, Dumas, Coraline, Joan, Maxine, and Fron - all of the people he has met - were all there with questionable faces on, wondering why they were at his house, on a Saturday, together.

“Thank you for coming,” Vincent moved out of the way to let them all in. As they were walking in, they were all saying statements that sound like compliments. Compliments about his Victorian style house. “Please sit in the living room. If there are not enough places for all of you to sit, then, please feel free to grab a chair from the kitchen and bring it over here. Just remember where you took that chair and when you leave, please put it back.” As they were taking there seats, he noticed something. The girls where in a specific order as were the guys. Both groups were in mini-circles. With Cyri and Job in the middle of the circles. When Vincent got to the front of the room, he cleared his breath and began to speak.

“As some of you might be wondering, why did I ask you all here for. Well, in the month I have spent here, I have seen more gang violence, heard about things that are ridiculously shocking and disturbing that I can not get them out of my mind. I have also meet a group of people that have accepted me threw only an internet chat-room. I am worried that theses gangs could attack any of you at any time. So, I was thinking we need to create our own gang. A gang to end all gangs.” Everyone was looking at each questionably. Wondering if he was insane or if he was serious. They know that there had been rebellions in the past. And sadly they had all failed. They wondered what made this one so different.

“When did you create this ridiculous idea?” It was Cyri who spoke. She had a little bit of tension in her voice.

“It was created when I first learn of the gangs. I saw what they do to people. People that had done nothing wrong before. And I an surprised that no one has yet stood up to them. So, any other thoughts?” They were all silent. After a few minutes, Vincent spoke again. “Listen, I will be right back.” When he left, The others started talking.

“So, What did you make of that?” Ronnie was the first to speak. Everyone was quiet for a moment until Cyri took a deep breath.

“In my personal opinion, if it is to destroy Ratliff, then I cannot disagree more.” Tad touched his scars and nodded in agreement. Then, Job cleared his throat.

“I cannot agree more. But I still think if Mr. Pervert to the Stars here is to keep his thing in we would not need to worry about this.”

“It is not that!” Joan argued. “It has to do with the fate of others like that teacher and kid that Ratliff had beaten the living shit out of! If someone does not try and stop them, then they could go on and try to destroy everyone!” All of the girls started clapping and applauding Joan, except for some strange reason Cyri, who had a little look of despair on her face.

“But, would it be only us that makes things worse?” Jack asked.

“Do you even know the reason why it is important to destroy Ratliff?” Jadis said, defending for Cyri.

“No, enlighten me.” Jack said mockingly.

“Do you remember Cyri’s old boyfriend that had betrayed her?” They all shook there head yes in agreement. “THAT was Ratliff!” some of the boy’s jaws dropped in shock. “Yeah, the same Ratliff that is the leader of The Children Of Ghetto is the same boyfriend that heard Cyri’s traumatizing past and told everyone about it. The same Ratliff that was once a clean-cut guy know turned into a rapper-wannabe.”

“Even more of a reason why to form a gang!” Everyone jumped when Vincent’s voice boomed into the room. Cyri had a look that was the most fearful of all of them. A few minutes had past, then Cyri got up.

“Do you know where the restroom is at?” Vincent pointed down the hall as Cyri rushed over there. When she left, Vincent went over and sat on the floor in front of them all.

“If we were to create a gang, then what will we be called? Who will be our leader? And what will we do?” Ronnie did have a point. After thinking for a few minutes, Vincent got the answer.

“The name will be ‘The Children Of Darkness’. The leader would be decided upon by all of you. Are motivation would be to wipe out any and all gangs.” Then, Vincent realized something, he could hear a very faint cry coming from the bathroom. “Will you all excuse me for a second?” he stood up and walked over to the restroom. Indeed he did hear Cyri cry.

“Cyri, are you all right?” She said something very muffled but Vincent got the idea that she said she will be right out. When she got out, her face was all blood-red from crying. After a few seconds at glancing at each other, Cyri jumped into Vincent’s arm and started crying her heart out.

“Vinc, I want us to kill that asshole.” she said through sobs. All Vincent could do was hug her back, rocking her back and forth. After a couple of minutes doing this, they turned and walked into the kitchen where Vincent got out another case tab and gave her one of the cans. After drinking it, she felt better and was comfortable going back into the room where the others were.

“Vincent,” Job said standing. “We have decided to have you be the leader of The Children Of Darkness. Just tell us what to do and we will do it .” Everyone in the room nodded. All Vincent done was smile.

An hour went by and everyone but Cyri left. Vincent walked over and sat down right next beside Cyri. Cyri still looked as if she had been crying for hours. After a few seconds, Vincent cleared his throat.

“So, are you okay now?” Cyri shook her head yes.

“You do not know what it is like, being able to have revenge on someone that had ruin a pat of your life. I mean, it was not my fault that he decided to become a first rated jackass.” She took a breath and gulped down another can of Tab. As far as Vincent was concerned, he had gotten Cyri addicted to Tab. “I want to thank-you Vincent. You have been a really good friend to me for a long period of time. You do not know how much that means to me.”

“Well I am glad that you are happy. And I am glad that you and me have became good friends.” They then stared at each other for a long period of time, moving closer to each other.

“Damn,” Cyri looked at her watch. “I need to go Vincent.” She started walking out of his house, but before, she turned around and looked at Vincent. “See you later, Daikaiju.” She went and closed the door behind her.

The Book Of Vincent. Chapter Nine.

Chapter Nine.

When he was waiting at the bus stop, he was pleasantly surprise to find that Cyri had return from the funeral. When Cyri saw Vincent, she had a smile on her face.
“Hey, see you are back.” Vincent said when she got to the bus stop. “So, how was the funeral?”

“Like most funerals, a lot of tears, a lot of praying, having to meet the priest, and all that jazz. So how did Job and his friends treat you?” she had a spark of curiosity in her voice.

“Well, like your friends, they accepted me as one of there friends. To such an extent they told me there life stories. And as I was listening, I realized how some of there stories were related to your friends life’s” they were silent for a few minutes as they tried to clear there minds. As they were clearing there minds, the bus came.

Now that Vincent had known more people in his neighbor, they greeted him with pleasant greetings versus the greetings he had received at his old schools. And to ruin it all came Tad. He sat down and gave his usual greeting (“Hi Asshole!”) and as usual Cyri would bite his hand until he said sorry.

When they got into the school, Cyri ran off to speak to her friends, leaving Vincent alone. As he was walking to his home room, the idea he had gotten from the day he spent with Job and his friends still rang in his head. He wanted to tell his idea to Cyri’s friends and Job’s friends, but did not know how. He decided he would tell Cyri’s friends at break and Job’s friends at lunch. Now, it is time for break.

As he went to the cafeteria, he saw Cyri and her friends (including Tad) sitting at there normal table. When he sat down he noticed something. One of Tad’s eyes was shut. The skin around was pitch black. It look liked some decided to beat him.

“What the hell happened to you?” he asked as his brain digested the image that was before him.

“Ratliff.” he said. It took Vincent a few seconds to remember who Ratliff was. Then he remember that Ratliff was the leader of The Children Of Ghetto.

“What did you do to them?” Now his idea was starting to make sense.

“Nothing.” he sounded pissed off. “They just beaten me up because they think I am emo. I am getting so sick of it.” then, Vincent thought he saw a tear in Tad’s eye.

“Do they beat you up often?” Tad took a deep breath

“Yes, sadly. But, I do not want to get into anymore trouble, so I just take it.” Coraline rubbed Tad’s back. Vincent could tell that Tad did not want to talk about the beating anymore.

“How did the gangs start?” now he was starving for information.

“Okay,” Cyri started talking. “Ratliff came from New York’s inner street gangs. There, he was throne in jail for numerous crimes I believe Job has told you about. Anyway, why is it that you want to know?” she had some tension in her voice.

“I just had some thought. What do you guys think of Job and his friends?” Now the attitude changed. Cyri’s friends, except for Coraline, all started talking out of control. Of all of the things they said, the only things he could capture was that Fron was a man whore and Joan was actually in love with Jack. He then asked if they were comfortable being around them, in which they all rapidly answered yes to.

“One last thing, are you guys busy on Saturday?” they all answered yes, which is what Vincent was hoping for. Then, break was over.

And lunch has started. During lunch, he was given the news that Cyri and her friends would not join him due to the fact that they were missing some work and had to stay behind to do finish. But thankfully Job was wanting to talk to him. So when he went to there table, all of they guys greeted him as is he was an old friend whom they have never meet in a few years.

“So, what had happened to you after our first meeting?” Zat asked when Vincent finally gotten settled.

“Nothing much.” he took a bit out of the chicken wrap he had gotten. On his was still his idea. “When me and Job left the his room, there was some arguing. What happened?” All of the guys exchanged looks.

“Nothing which concerns you. To put it mildly, Mr. Pervert (looks directly at Fron) here was caught again screwing around with one of Mycheal’s sluts.” Then, there was some arguing and yelling that Vincent could not decipher. Then, there was a mighty, thunderous bang. Ronnie had a bag of potato chips and clap it to explode all of the air out of it. It surprised Vincent that non of the teachers had noticed the huge bang.

“Teachers do not really care about that kind of stuff.” Ronnie reassured Vincent, as if reading his mind. They were quiet for a few minutes, until he saw why the teachers did not care about something as careless as some student exploding a bag of potato chips. Because in walks Ratliff, Snoop, Lee, and Mycheal.

They were a disgusting of men. All of there appearance’s looked the same. Pants sagging, overly huge shirts, shaved heads, and heavy jewelry. They walked over to this one guy that was sitting by himself at his table and they meet eye to eye. Then, Vincent could only make out what Ratliff’s lips were say and he said: “Motherfucker,”. Then, he launched him self at the student. Snoop nailed him to the ground by his feet. Lee and Mycheal put both of there feet on his arms. Then, Ratliff took out this glove that had golden circles on it. He sat on top of the kid, say something, then started to beat the poor kid to death. The teachers came to grab the kid. As they were dragging him, he yelled something along the lines of: “How fucking dare you fuck one of our bitches!”. Then he went and punched one of the teachers hard against the jaw, with such force that Vincent could hear the teacher’s jaw break. As they were caring Ratliff and his gang away, he saw Fron hiding under the table. When they were gone, they were all sent back to class.

In all of Vincent’s life, he was never so terrified, so scared, so filled with vengeance that he did not know what to do. The rest of the day was a bore. Everyone was talking about what had happened. It was announced that Ratliff and his gang were sentenced to two months on hospitalized suspension. Meaning they get counted for being here and automatically get good grades. This has happened because the fact that there parents were rich and therefore able to hire lawyers that were going to sue the school for sexual harassment because of the fact that the slut, Egypt, the one the boy fu-ked, happened to be Ratliff’s sister. Therefore, the school had to agree with the family about dropping all charges.

Anyway, when they got to homeroom, Vincent was told by Cyri that she was not going to ride the bus, her parents were picking her up because she need to get a vaccination shot because the school could not fin the records, therefore if she wanted to continue school she would need another shot. So, Vincent was alone on the bus. But what he did not notice was that Job and his friends, including Tad, were also on the bus. So at least he would have someone to talk to.

When they got off, he saw that Fron was not scared anymore. He was actually kind of happy. Vincent walked over to see what was up, and all he started to hear was yelling. Fron was at a trash can, emptying out his pockets. When Vincent saw what it was that Fron was emptying out, he was in shock. What he saw was used condom wrappers and used condoms. Now he understand what it was that they were yelling at him about. He could not make out what they were yelling at, but he noticed they were not aware he was right beside them.

“Listen perv,” Zat said, stopping them and turned around toward Fron. “Do you want to end up like the unlucky S.O.B? Listen, we all care about you, we just do not want you to - ” Then, just now noticed Vincent was with them. As he looked at Vincent, all of the other guys followed pursuit.

“Hey Vincent,” Job said. “How long have you been there?”

“Ever sense the bus stop.” Vincent said. “So, the swordsman could not find any other use for his sword so he decided to put it back into the saya?” After a few minutes, they all just busted out laughing. They started laughing so hard some of them fell to the floor. When they all recovered from there laughing spell, they started to get serious again.

“So, explain the whole idea about the sluts.” he was now curious. And it was Dumas who explained.

“As you know, in each gang there are the leaders and the second in commands. Well, in each group there are the bodyguards. Well, in The Children Of Ghetto, the bodyguards are called: Sluts. And I do mean that literally. One of the goals for The Children Of Ghetto is that they need money. So, Mycheal is a pimp who pimps out the girls. There are eight sluts. And there names are: Sky, Dame, Egypt, and Neferia. There are also the man-whores. They try to bang girls for money. There names are: Whitney, L.A., Case and Ban. In my opinion, it is all sick and repulsive in every sense of those words.” He took a deep breath. Then continued. “And what is sad is how much they pay. Mr. Pervert here has found a way to screw with the girls for free and he should STOP! Anyway, there you have it. One of the richest, most powerful, most disgusting gangs you will ever meet.” All Fron was doing was smiling as if he had done something good.

“What do you guys think of Cyri’s friends?” Then there was a roar of talking if there ever was one. The started talking non-stop. So after a few minutes, when they quieted down, Vincent asked his question.

“So you guys would be okay to be in a room with them?” They all agreed.

“Will you guys be busy on Saturday?” They all said no and agreed to go to his house on Saturday. Which was exactly what he wanted to here. After the guys went there separate ways, Vincent went home. As he entered the house, he smelt the strong odor of paint. When walked into the formal dining room he found out why. His mother was doing one of her paintings. Veronica was a good painter. Especially when it came to animals and scenery.

“Hi, Darling,” she said getting off of the ladder she was on. She went over and kissed on top of the head. “So, how was school?” she went off to the kitchen and came back with two cokes.

“It was good. But I was wondering if you would not mind if I have some friends over on Saturday would you?” After a couple of seconds. She responded saying yes, as long as they do not trash the house while she was gone. After making sure with Cyri and Job, he confirmed in himself that everything is going to plan.

The Book Of Vincent. Chapter Eight.

Chapter Eight.

If there is one thing Vincent had noticed over the passed week is that this was a complete feeling of déjà vu. How? Well for starters, everything has had already happened. Like meeting someone he knew but didn’t, then meeting there friends at there house. He was having a weird feeling about this.

The house he was instructed to go to kind of took Vincent by surprise. The quickest way to describe what his house was like is to imagine a house perfect for the biggest sports fan in the world. And it sickened him. He felt so embarrassed by him in that yard that he wished for this not to happen. So, taking a deep breath, he knocked on the front door.

“HEYA DAWG!!! WHAT’S CRACKIN HOMIE?!” Vincent thought he had died and went to hell. Did this women who looks like a cheerleader just say that. Then, to confirm him that this is Job’s house, the title person appeared.

“Hey, mom. He is here to see me.” Then, the cheerleader went away to a room that was blasting with some kind of sports game.

“Who the hell is that and why - ”

“That is my dad’s fifth trophy wife. I’ll put it to you this way, she is dumber than holy hell, but my dad only married her based on looks. Disgusting.” Then, in shock, Job realized something. “Oh, please com in.” Stepping aside, Vincent went into the house.

The house was covered with everything and anything football related and a strong scent of beer and nachos. And Vincent wanted to throw up because of it. When walking into the kitchen, he saw about ten people, mostly huge, beer-bellied men with nacho stains on there shirts watching foot ball.

“Ignore them, They are my fathers friends and there wife’s watching crap. Follow me into my room.” It took a few minutes but they got to his room. Sitting on a couch was all of the people Vincent meet during his last visit at school. They were all wearing headphones that were connected to an adapter that was linked to a huge, flat screen television. On the screen, had a scene that looked an ending to a movie.

“The movie is Gamera 2: The Real Guardian of the Universe, Advent of Legion. Right now, it is at the ending. If you had arrived about three hours earlier, then you would have been in time to watch this and the first movie. Get a set of head phones and sit on the coach. I will put in the last movie.” As Vincent went and plugged in his headphones, he heard a bunch of welcoming from the guys. When Vincent sat down, Job cleared his throat and began to talk.

“Okay, men. We have ventured thru the first two and now we are about to watch the one giant monster film that is said to be as good or better than the original Gojira. The movie is: Gamera 3: The Absolute Guardian Of The Universe, Evil God Iris’ Awakening.” when he said all of this, they all (except Vincent) started cheering and clapping up a storm. After they were done, Vincent had only one question.

“What is with the headphones?”

“You see, the men down stairs have a tendency to - ” There was a roar from down stairs that shook all of there drinks violently.

“I do not think I need to explain any further. Now, on to the movie.” the lights were turned off and the movie was playing very smoothly. An hour and forty minutes later, Vincent was in shock about how good it was. They all took off there headphones and, all at ounce, started talking, commenting on the film. After a few minutes, Job stood up and left. When he returned, he had some bags of sour cream and onion chips.

“I was wondering if you guys could do something for me.” Vincent said taking huge gulps of water. “When I meet someone, I like to know there life story. I want to know there life story because it helps me to get to know the people I will be spending my time with.” After a few minutes, Zat began to speak.

I was originally from Winnipeg, Canada. The only thing in which I liked about Winnipeg was Phantompalooza. Phantompalooza was an annual celebration of the movie Phantom Of The Paradise. I was suppose to go to a special stage version when I was suppose to play the character Swan, but then I got the word that I had to move here. I never knew the reason other than the fact that I was pissed.

When we moved to Colorado, the first thing people asked me was if my name was Terrance, Phillip, or Ike. First of all, I hate South Park. So when they asked me that, I was, you get the Idea. I was about to blow until I met Job. He treated me like a person and now, I have friends. So, that is all you need to know.

When he stopped talking, he took a huge gulp of water and took a deep breath. Then, Jack started talking.

I came from the down under, Australia. I lived around Sydney, and at night, it was beautiful. Especially if you were in the Sydney Opera House. I have been in there a few times, and all I have to say is: it is the perfect place to go to watch an opera. I used to spend weekends in the desert area looking for exotic animals. It was all fun until my mother got sick.

My mother got some kind of cancer that was never really explained to me. All I knew about it was that Australia did not have any doctors that could cure her, so we went to America like they suggested. I was enrolled in school here, but I missed the Great Out Back, the Opera House, the animals and, many other things. Then I met Zat, who introduced me Job, then we became friends. And I needed friends at the time because of the next events. Mind you, I have gotten over this.

What happened was that we were to late. The doctors tried to save my mother, but her body shut down and we lost her. It was devastating but, I was able to get over with numerous therapy sessions and a lot of meat. One of the good things is that I have found a crush. And you know her as Joan. So, that leads us to today.

As Jack stopped talking, Vincent could swear he saw a tear in his eye. Before he could give it another thought, there was a roar from down stairs.

“What the hell was that!” He exclaimed a little bit more loudly then he meant.

“Cheerleader strippers. You see, the guys down stairs have this bet: they will split into two groups cheering on one of the two teams. And which ever team wins, the group that looses wife’s will have to either strip, give a lap dance, or a strip tease. Disgusting. Anyway, who’s next?” After a few minutes, Dumas started talking.

It is without a doubt that I am fat. Now there is a reason why I am fatter than holy hell. And the reason is that my family owns a deli. A deli that specializes in Philly Steak Subs. You see my family came from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We had what was considered the greatest Philly Steak Subs in all of Pennsylvania. It was so good that one day this food critic came and ate one of our sandwiches and said it was so good that they wanted us to open another one here in Colorado. I was excited because I like meeting new people and visiting new places. But this was not what I had in mind.

For when I first moved here, I had a lot of criticism due to the fact that I am overweight. People had a tendency to steal all of my possessions, punch me in the balls to “check” if I was a male or female, and, to top it all off, they once set my families deli on fire.

My family was about to move until we got a problem: my mother was pregnant. It was a huge shock for my family and we decided to stay here for a while until my mother delivered. I was stunned because of the fact that we had to stay in this retched place. So, to fill up some time, I decided to join band. While I was in band, I met Jack. Yeah, that is one thing Jack did not tell you.

So, while I was in band, I made friends with the other guys and, they became my group. And I needed it because about five months later, the fetus in my mother’s womb died. It was a huge impact on my mom and dad. So huge, they decided not to get out of bed. The effect is still going on today. I talked to them about having me stay at one of my friends house until they were back to normal. And that leads me to here.

When Dumas stopped talking, Fron started talking. And the first thing he said made Vincent’s jaw drop.

I was a virgin until my twelve birthday. When I first had sex, I was to young to remember how it was but I remember that it was my cousin that actually paid me to do it with her. She aid me one hundred dollars. The next thing I remembered was that she got into trouble and I never saw her again. In the words of Rocky Horror, My libido hasn’t been in control. Meaning, I screw girls non-stop. It is an addiction but I have been abstinent for three months! And that is a start! That is all.

That was the most saddest, most sickening, and most disturbing and shortest life story Vincent had ever heard and he wished to never here it again. There was only one life story left. And it was Ronnie. Ronnie cleared his throat and began to speak.

I was born in South Africa. It was kind of like hell over there because my mother did not work and my father was using his time to try to get into a school and did not work. For the first eight years of my life, we did not eat much and were in hiding. You see, there are two major differences between my family and the average African American family. First was that my family does not beat up white people. A lot of black kids (b-kids) had a tendency to beat the living hell out of white kids (w-kids) because b-kids thought w-kids owned them for the years of slavery that America had on blacks. My family believed what has done, is done and not to worry about it. Say that around were I lived, you get beaten up.

Second, my family is against rap, hip-hop, and anything related music. We just do not agree with the lyrics and think it is sinful. If you look on my hand, you will see that half of my middle finger is missing. That is because I once said rap music sucks. So my family sold all of what we had and moved to America. What I did not know is that my family had grandparents in Colorado that were doctors.

They told us we can live in there house until we have gotten enough money to buy our own house. As a welcoming gift, they decided to make me a fake middle finger to clip onto the stump that is there. I was surprised at how it moved and worked. Also surprised at how heavy it is. So, if I have to write or I am going to school, you will see a complete middle finger. Other times, you will not.

When I went to school here, kids would either say I was an illegal alien or I was from Kenya. It was so sickening because they would take whatever I had to eat and say, “Oh, you are used to it.”. You do not understand what that was like having kids do that to you. But the worst has yet to happen.

I was in class one day, and I got a question wrong. And the teacher, under her breath, called me a ******. I went home and told my parents. They then went and sued the school. I was beaten up again because the teacher they sued was a particular favorite of the schools. But, to my rescue was Job, Zat, Jack, Dumas, and Fron. They went and thankfully saved me.

After words, they told me there life stories and, with the huge exception of Fron, I figured out that there life’s and my life was not so different. I told them mine, and thus we became friends. The End.

All Vincent could do is stair in awe at the information he has received. He could not believe how all of the lives he had heard were linked into each other. He was about to say something until there was another huge roar from down stairs. Then he looked at the clock and he nearly fainted.

“I am sorry, but I have to leave.” As he was standing up, Job also stood.

“Do you know your way back to your house?” Now that he had mentioned it, Vincent did not.

“No. follow me.” When they both left, they left behind a huge roar of arguing. They did not want to find out what had happened.

When they went down stairs, they tried there hardest to not make a noise, but they were unsuccessful. For when they went down stairs, Job’s father notice them.

“Cut your hair, you pussy!” he said with a drunken overtone.

“I am not going to cut my hair.” Now an intrusting argument starts.

“Then change your clothes. You look like a fudge packer.” Now, steam was going out of Job’s ears.

“I am leaving.” he said hurrying out of the front door.

“Wait! You have something on your face.” Job now actually had a questionable face.

“I do? What?” Then, his father started to laugh.

“Gay!”

“Dad, FUCK you!” Then both him and Vincent left and slammed the front door. Job’s father said something, but they did not stick around to hear what it was. After a few minutes, Vincent thought it was okay to actually start talking again.

“Does he do that often?” Job took a huge sigh.

“Sadly yes. What is even more sad is that he does that even when he is sober. I am getting sick of it.” They were silent for a few minutes. Then he started talking again.

“Well, I trust you can find your own way back from here.” Vincent looked around and saw they were at a lamppost. His mind was still on the information he had heard from the other guys.

“You know, I was thinking.” Vincent finally said. “Your lives and Cyri’s friends lives are not that different.” Job had this puzzled face.

“Well, see ya.” he said as he turned and left Vincent at the lamppost. Vincent then went and turned and walked home. As he was, he was thinking about all of the characters he had met or gained knowledge about. But his mind kept on going toward The Children Of Ghetto. Then, he had an idea. An idea so great that it could change the very fabric of his life.

The Book Of Vincent. Chapter Seven.

Chapter Seven.

“Hey, Vincent,” Cyri said over his cell phone. It is great having friends, but it is annoying as hell when they call most of the time.

“Yes?” he said questionably.

“I got some bad news. My uncle had died.”

“Oh, my God! Cyri I am so sorry!” Vincent exclaimed in shock.

“It’s okay. I did not know him anyway. But listen. Sense the other girls will be coming with me, I talked to one of my friends and he said he will take care of you until we come back.” It was still kind of strange that she was kind of calm, but then again, she did not really know her uncle that much.

“Cool, who is the guy? And why do I need taking care of?” this really got on Vincent’s nerves.

“His name is Job. Just so you know, he looks like a cross-breed between Rob Pattinson and Quentin Tarantino. And, if you hang out with him, then be prepared to be mobbed by numerous girls because of the fact that he is considered the hottest guy in school. And he is Jadis’ main crush. Well, I need to go. So see ya!” Then she hung up, leaving Vincent to his thoughts. That was on Saturday.

Now, it is Monday. And Tad was not on the bus, so Vincent was sad. But all of it changed when he got off of the bus and everything changed. Even though he is not homosexual, he could not help but admit that the person who must be Job was, indeed, handsome. When Job saw Vincent, he smiled and walked over.

“So, you must be Vincent.” he said with a care free laugh. He walked over and put his hand on top of Vincent’s shoulder. “Yeah, you will do fine.” then they walked into the building. When they got inside, a lot of girls where calling out his name, over and over again. It was starting to get onto Vincent’s nerves.

“Does that ever get annoying?” he finally asked when the area was quiet.

“From time to time, but you sooner or later get over it. Oh, there they are.” he said as a group of other guys were standing. When they saw them walk toward them, the group went and started talking. It was hard to understand what they were saying until Job had them shut up.

“Okay, this is Vincent. He belongs with Cyri. You guys are to treat him with the most upright respect.” they were then silent. Then, after a while of silent, one of the kids stepped forth and extended his hand.

“I am Zat.” He looked thin, had dirt blond hair, and his lips were always pursed. And then the others follow pursuit.

“I am Dumas.” He was over-weight, had short, brown hair, and his cheeks were red.

“I an Fron.” The best way to describe him is to imagine Zac Effron or Joe Jonas, just make them, not gay.

“And I am Ronnie.” Again, the best way to describe him is to imagine a young, Ronnie James Dio, just with dark skin. Vincent thought, ‘Is it me, or does this seem to much like when I met Cyri’s friends. He was continually thinking about, until the bell for homeroom had rung. He decided he will think about the similarities later.

“Vincent!” Job yelled half way across the lunch room. When he found them, he was surprised at how they all acted. Almost like robots. And, it appeared that they were the only ones not causing mayhem or mischief. When he sat down, all of the guys looked around cautiously then, they started talking. First, was Ronnie.

“Okay, Vincent. We already know all about you. And we know the reason why Cyri is having us protect you. Do you know the reason why?” Now that is a question that has been on his mind for some time.

“Yeah, why? Is there some huge, dark secret that if I know it will destroy the world?” He was joking himself. The others had weary looks when he said this.

“In a way, yeah.” Ronnie said. “You see, as probably know, there are three main gangs in this school. They are: The Children Of Ghetto, The Children Of Blondes, and The Children Of The Nobodies. As there names suggest, C.O.G. are made up of, now remember, I can say this because I am black, therefore not making it racist. Anyway, the C.O.G. are made up of a bunch of black kids with one or three white kids that think they are black, but really are not. The reason why they formed this group is because of the fact that they believe that white people should pay them back for the years of slavery. In my opinion, I say that time has paid for it self. I mean, look at my family. My whole family is black, and you don’t see us complain. So why should they? The next group is The Children Of Blondes. They are nothing but a bunch of dumb blondes trying to bake themselves look smart, but really, they are not. And then you got The Children of Nobodies, and I believe the title is pretty self-explanatory.” Vincent only thought that this is turning out to be more like a gang movie.

“Has there been any hard core wars? Or anything that could be used to start a war?”

“Thankfully, no. But there has been some tension between them and us due to some pervert.” He said giving Fron a dirty look.

“What?” Fron said in a carefree sort of way.

“You know what. Like when the school authorities caught you in the bathroom with one of the sluts (female members of C.O.G.) with your parents between your legs and her shirt off.” Fron only smiled.

“Listen jackass, it is no laughing matter. You know to damn well that Ratliff or the trio would do anything to show them that white people are pure evil!” Now, Vincent is just plain confused.

“Who is Ratliff and the trio?”

“People who you never want to encounter.” Then, Job took over.

“Okay, Ronnie, if you are such a wimp, I will tell him. Ratliff is the leader of The Children Of Ghettos. He is one of the most ruthless, most disturbing people in the world. And of the most richest also. He was prosecuted on, at least, ten sexual abuse charges, and prostitution, five drug charges and countless others. He was able to loose all of those charges due to the fact that he was able to hire a lot of lawyers. One of the other most disturbing things is that he is white who acts black.” Vincent’s jaw just dropped.

“Now the trio is a bunch of kids that are his best friends and bodyguards. There names are: Mycheal, Lee, and Snoop. they are basically Ratliff split into three people. But they are worse due to the fact that they specialize in certain aspects. Mycheal: A Pimp. Most of the Sluts he use to get money from people that want to get laid. Lee: Drug and Rape charges. Known for exporting drugs to numerous students, and know for raping any woman that does not pay up. The last woman that was rape was so messed up in the head that she had to leave the school and go to a mental institution. And Snoop: Silencer. If you find out anything that could get them into jail, then it is his job to silence you. Simple as that.” Now, Vincent is crapping his pants. He knew of gangs being her, but NOT Blood and Crips type of gangs. He is now wondering if it was worth coming here.

He decided to walk home that day. He needed to clear his mind. As he was walking, he realized he was not alone.

“Why are you following me?” he asked Job.

“Doing my job for a friend.” he said in a carefree way. “Let me guess, you want me to tell you my Life Story?” Now he is talking Vincent’s language.

“If you don’t mind.” Then, taking a deep breath, he began to tell his tale.

Unlike most of your friends, I was born with a very happy life. To make this short, the best way to imagine my life is to think of all of those sitcom families and then you get my life. That was before I knew the truth. I was raised to believe the world is a happy, carefree world, but we all know it is the exact opposite.

We know the world is a cruel place with no sense of moral fiber or decency. Example: TV. You turn on the TV and what do you find? Drugs and sex galore. Biggest examples are the music videos. First off, the lyrics are terrible, all about violence, drugs, and beating women. Sad and sick. Second are the gangs, and I don’t think I need to tell you about that.

So after finding the truth, I started to disbelief everything I was told. Then I made friends with Zat, Dumas, Ronnie, Fron, and Tad. Now you. Which leads me to today.

“Okay, my life is not that eventful, but it is a life and that’s all that counts, right?” Vincent nodded his head. “Oh, before I forget, me and the guys are going to my house to watch some movies. It will be on the weekend. If you want, you can come. Oh, and if you need to know where my house is, ask Tad.” Vincent thought about it, and said yes.

“Sure.”

“Great. See you Saturday!” then Job ran off.

The Book Of Vincent. Chapter Six.

Chapter Six

When the weekend came, Vincent went to Cyri’s house for the first time. It felt weird. Not because her house was in between both his and Tad’s, because of her past and what her step mother and father would say and do. When he got to the front door, he took in a long, hard deep breath and knocked on the front door. His heart was beating rapidly when the front door opened.
The person who opened the front was this woman who looked like a typical sitcom-style mom. When she saw him, she gave a little smile.
“You must be Vincent.” she said, stepping away from the entrance to let him walk in. Cyri’s house was, bland and clean. There was very little furniture and the floor was made out of wood. Sitting on a couch was this man sipping a beer and watching some kind of sport. When he looked up, he had this sour look on his face.
“Honey, this is Cyri’s friend, Vincent.” his face loosened up a bit.
“Nice to meet you, Vincent.” He said standing up. “I am Mark and this is Heidi.” he walked over and put his arm around Heidi waist. Vincent looked at them and sighed. After hearing Cyri’s heart breaking story about her life, he was glad she had a loving family. He looked into Mark's eyes and saw the reflection of a girl. He turned around and he saw Coraline.
“Oh, Vinc,” she said with a giddy attitude. “come, we have been expecting you.” then she took his hand and dragged him across the house, up a flight of stair and then in front of a door that had the word Cyri in beautiful, curvy letters and the words: Keep Out! in blood-stained letters. “Okay, vamp-king,” she said, shoving him hard against the opposite wall. “You are about to enter Cyri’s room. You don’t touch anything, don’t go near anything, and you don’t talk unless you are spoken to. If you break any of these rules -”
“Coraline,” Cyri’s voice boomed across the hallway. Coraline went back into the room. “Sorry about her. She takes the whole idea about being one of my bodyguards to seriously.” She was wearing a black Marilyn Manson tee-shirt and black bunny pajama bottoms with lion slippers. “So, you want to come inside?” she grabbed his hand and dragged him into her room.
The first thing he noticed about her room was the fact that there were no windows. The walls were pall painted black with posters of various bands and movies. When he finally sat down, all of the people he meet at school were there.
“Okay everyone,” Cyri said, sounding like a leader. “As you all know, Vincent has been DAIKAIJU ever sense Heidi and Mark first adopted me. Now, I find it unfair that only me and Tad have allowed him to know our life stories while you all know his and he does not know your life stories. And in my opinion, that is not fair. So the purpose of today’s gathering is to all let Vincent know who we are. You are to state your name, then revel your life story. Do you all understand?”
“Yes Cyri!” all of the girls responded at once, like an army responding to a general. Vincent was stunned, but impressed non the less.
“Okay Jadis, you first!” Cyri said as she got up and sat across from Vincent.
“My name is Jadis and this is my life story.”

I was born in Manhattan, New York to two lawyers. We had a lot of money, lived in a huge house, and had a life a luxury. You know all of those movies that take place in New York’ wealth society and there house? Everything right down to the maids? That was my house.
My parents bought me everything. All I had to do was point at something, and then I got it. I had plenty of friends. But with all of that, there was one major problem. That problem was, did anyone really care about me? The reason why is because on a few business trips, my parents had literally forgotten that I was there. They treated me as if I was an accessory.
Every time we got back from one of theses trips, there was all of this fighting. My father accused my mother of having an affair and vise versa. I know it was not as bad or as terrible as yours and Cyri’s life, but it was still very bad. It got to such a point that my grandparents had gotten custody over me.
I was happy and I was mad. Happy because I did not have to deal with all of the fighting and the false love. Mad because I missed all of the false love. You see, living in a wealthy society meant that you can have or get what every you want. From the best perfumes and soaps to the most fabulous cloths.
Anyway when I was moved here, I did not like this place one bit. Because I thought when they said we were to be moving to a big city, they meant going to where everything was expensive. Not the suburbs. I felt out of place because I looked so different, talked so different, and over all, acted so different. But everything changed when I met Cyri.
I met Cyri when we were in middle school during P.E. Both of use were walking, and I just started talking. I can not remember what was said but all I remember is that after some arguing, we became friends. And after the formation of the gangs, I ended up being her body guards. Which now leads us to today. Were I have good friends and I am spilling my guts out to a complete stranger. No offense.

Every one clapped after Jadis got done telling her story. Then she got up, gave Cyri a hug, then went back to sit where she originally was.
“Thank you Jadis. Now, Joan, please come up here and tell your life story.” The track girl Joan got up and sat down across from Vincent. Then, she began to talk.

Even though I am American, I was born, and lived most of my life thus far in Japan. The village I lived on had no electricity. You maybe wondering why I have such strong legs? Well that is because my family lived an a farm. I did not go to school a lot because I always had to help out and make sure our produce got in on time. Even though I loved the culture of Japan, I could not stand it at all. The village I lived in had not changed sense World War 2. It was like it was frozen in time. So, when we spoke to the village leader, he said that if we were to leave our village, then, under no circumstances can we return.
It broke my mothers heart, but we decided it was for the best. My mother explained to the leader why we had to leave, and kind hearted as he was, he convinced the U.S. government into booking us a Japanese hotel to stay in until my family can find a house and a job.
A month later, my father (he was from America) found some of his high school friends who were able to get him a job in a deli in Colorado. When we moved there, they surprised us by having a house paid off and having furniture putted in. The house was already picture perfect, so all we had to do was put our clothes away and go shopping for food and then we were set.
In a lot of ways, it was hard for my family when we first moved here because we were not accustomed to electronics and items as such. It was hell for me at school because when I told kids I was from Japan, they had mocked me about it for a long time. Then the kids that were Japanese always got pissed at me because they did not believe that I was from Japan. At the high point of all of my frustration, I met Cyri. She told me her life story and I told her mine. Then, through a miracle, she and I became friends. Which leads me to today.

When she was done, she just somberly walked back to her place and nodded toward Cyri. When Cyri got up she took a deep breath and began to talk.
“Thank you, Joan. Now, Maxine, please come up and tell us your life story.” The little overweight girl got up and walked over and sat across from Vincent and began talking.

Me and Joan are not very much different. You see, I was born in Mexico. Both of my parents were Mexican and I am American. The reason for that is because my mother was a little slut and screwed around with an American. Thus creating: moi.
Now, it was horrible living in Mexico because of the fact that if you are not Mexican, then no one had any respect for you. They think that you came from America to remind everyone of how poor they were. So, when I got the news that my fathers company would be moving us, I was excited. I was excited because we would be leaving a place that I found disgusting and be leaving a place where people treated me with no respect.
I would miss the place because of my favorite holiday: Day of the Dead. I loved the holiday because of the fact that people in Mexico or any other place with heavy Mexican influence would take a day out of the year, just to celebrate the dead. I find it extremely honorable.
Anyway, it turned out that my fathers company was going to send us to Colorado. I was excited due to the fact that I always wanted to live in a place that was ice cold (living in a place that is boiling hot would make you yearn to go some place cold). But, I was not expecting what might have happened.
When I went to school and they found out I was Mexican, they started ripping on me. Started asking me to get them some pot or weed. That is why I hate American entertainment like Cheech and Chong. Because they make it seem like all Mexicans want to do is transport drugs. I know that there are some idiots that do, but my family would never.
Anyway, during a state of being depress, I found Joan. When Joan told me her life story, I was shocked at how people treated her in comparison to my life. After a week of being friends, she introduced me to Cyri and then we became friends. And then, here we are. The End!

She stood up and bowed while everyone was laughing and clapping. Calming down, Cyri stood and began to speak.
“One person left. Coraline, get up here.” When she sat down, the orange girl stood up and happily jumped into her spot and began to tell her life story.

I love crime. I just love it. I love the thrill of being on a chase, the fear that I could get caught and the people you meet along the way. I always watch crime dramas and I thought I knew how to be a perfect criminal, but I was wrong. One day, I stole about five thousand dollars worth of electronics and I got caught. By the order of court I was to spend two months in juvenile prison. In there, I met some rather interesting characters. But one of them, the most interesting of all was Tad.
You see, most of my time in Juvie, I spent with Tad. And over time, we had a relation ship, then, we became boyfriend and girlfriend. I was shocked when he told me why he was thrown in and he was more shocked as to why I was throne in. another thing that shocked us was that we went to the same school, same class, lived in the same neighborhood and we did not even noticed each other.
So when we where released, which was also on the exact same day, we promised to see each other everyday and we had. But when we got back to school, we were ridiculed because of our relationship. To such an extent that they started calling me a slut. Mostly because I ‘matured’ faster than other girls.
So, along the way, I meet Jadis. At first, me and Jadis did not get along pretty well but over time we did. We mostly did not get along because of the fact that I had a boyfriend and she does not belive in having boyfriends until high school. But, I say if love strikes, then take. Meaning if you find true love, then go with it.
Anyway, after meeting Jadis, I finally got to meet Cyri. When me and Cyri met, we became instant friends. Now, looking back on it, we have became a rather large group of friends. End of life story.

The only thing Vincent could do is drop his jaw in aw. He could not believe the lives these amazing five girls and one boy had. Now, the only life that he had heard that had impacted him so deeply was Cyri’s but still, the lives were so shocking. He could not belive it.
“I will admit,” he sad after some time. “you are all amazing people with, in a sad way, amazing lives. But, in my opinion and my belief, we were all put together for a reason. I am not sure what this reason is, but I belief were destined to be here.” when he was done speaking, he looked at the clock and saw the time. “I am sorry I could not stay here longer, but I have to go.” When he was running down the stairs, he could not believe that he had spent two and a half hours at Cyri’s house, when he got down stairs, he saw Cyri’s parents.
“Is everything alright?” Mark asked as he walked out of the kitchen.
“Yeah, everything is alright. I just need to get home.” he saw the look in her step-parents eyes. It was a look of relief. Relief that there step-daughter, that had most of her life been tortured, was finally making some real friends. As he was about to walk out of the front door, Cyri’s parents spoke.
“Remember, if you need anything,” Heidi said, “Then please come and get us. Remember our names are Mark and Heidi.”
“Thanks, Mark. Heidi.” Then he closed the door and walked home, trying to digest all he heard today about his new friends.
