The Trial Of Cyri. Chapter Fourteen. REVISED

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Cyri looked at herself in the mirror in her motel room and nodded in approval. She knew, that to the outside world, that should would be looking like someone who was a die-hard fan of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy, but in her mind, this was the only outfit and clothes she could find. And on her budget, she had to make due.
While cleaning up the motel room, she started thinking of how she is going to go about on her business. On one hand, she was thinking of just bashing into the office of Donnie and his colleagues, strangle them all with the guitar string she had, and then burn their bodies. Okay idea, but she realized that there was one problem: Where do they hide out? Due to the nature of them, she doubted that she could find them in any public service buildings. That plan is a failure.
The second idea was that she was to go and contact her friends, letting them know that she is okay and figure out what to do. While she knew that, mentally, she would regret this later, she could not bare to bring herself to do that. She wants revenge. Simple as that. If she went about and had her friends thrown in, she would only have to shudder at the horror that, she feared, would befall upon them.
After gathering her belongings, she took one last look at her room and then walked out of the door. The entire time, she was not trying to think of any of the unpleasant events that might happen on her path for revenge. While she was walking to an elevator, she remember a quote she once read from an action/ adventure film that dealt with a woman getting revenge against her former boss. The quote was ‘Revenge is a dish best served cold’. One thing she wondered: would that, at all, apply to me?
Once she was at the floor level of the motel, she put a sticky note on her crad key and, when no one was looking, placed it on the counter where the clerk should be at. Due to the time being around four at night and the old man was asleep, she quietly placed the card key there, and walked down the hall towards the back exist.
While she was passing by, she did look at herself more and more, observing how little she looked like her normal self. There are a few subtle ways of telling that she is she. You have her bone structure, her overall height, and you also have the way she walked. But, other then that, she looked at herself and could not see how she was.
When she had gotten outside, she allowed the cold air to hit her body. At that moment of time, it felt good. Once she started walking, a few things has went through her mind. The first was that she would have to find a way to get to Lee and Snoop. But, her main problem was that she could not figure out how to do so. That was before it had dawned on her. While she would hate to use her friends, here it would be necessary. Looking at where she was at, she walked down towards Jadis’ house.

Back when Cyri and Jadis first became friends, Jadis’ parents gave her a set of keys to their house, just incase anything was to happen. Aside that they viewed her as being family. She never, until that early morning, ever had to use the keys.
Going around to check to see if anyone was awake, Cyri opened the front door and snuck in.
The house being dark as it was, she carefully felt around until she could find a lamp. What she actually found, by accident was a candle with a lighter next to it. She has always wondered why Jadis’ family would have candles and lighters around, but at that time, she just did not care.
Lighting the candle, she went on search through the house to find it. The first place, if she was careful enough, would be the storage room that Jadis’ family had. Due to numerous reasons, there was something of a storage room that was made to hold all of Jadis’ electronics, extra wires, back up discs, and her old laptop that she does not use anymore. There was nothing wrong with it, just that it ran beyond slow and the memory on it was not that good.
After finding the room, she went through the shelves until she saw a laptop that looked something like a brick. It’s thickness was about five inches with the screen down, felt clunky, and had numerous scratches and layers of dust on it.
Removing all the garbage, she found the power cord to the dinosaur and a back up disc that contained information on Jadis when she used to work for Donnie. She had promised Jadis that she would never look through those files, due to them reveling a rather dark aspect of her life. One that she will never be proud of. But, at that moment and time, she just did not care.
Careful not to make any noise, she snuck back out of Jadis’ house without making a sound. After she left, the thing on her mind was that her family would need another security system.

She went into an all night diner and sat down with the laptop. After telling some collage boy to screw off, she plugged up the laptop and began searching. The first thing she had to look for was the details of Snoop and Lee, but to Cyri’s shock, she ended up finding things ranging from personal diaries to info on her, her friend, family, and enemies. Cyri decided that, if she ever got the chance, she would have to look into all of that.
But the first thing she found was info on Lee. It took her a few moments, but she finally got around to learning where he resided at. After doing the same thing for Snoop, she started looking through all of her belongings in order to find out what weapons would be best used. But the only thing she could find was the package of guitar strings that she had purchased. Desperate, she knew that she would need some particular items in order to pull this off.
Looking at the tables, she found what she would need. But, it would take some convincing to even take these items with her. Smiling, she thought of a way.

She laughed like a maniac as she looked at the steak knives she had. Even more so, she laughed at the fact that the boy in their was so stupid. Then again, as she knew, women did have some power over the simple mindedness of boys. And the bruise and the broken glass bottle when he tried to stop her were some of the proof in the pudding about this.
It took her a while, but she found Lee’s house in one of the middle class neighborhoods in the area. The house was not entirely run down and cheap like one would expect from such a person, but she did not give a damn. One of the files that she had found was a complete lay out of his house. Looks like Donnie had Jadis do some extra secretive work for him.
Taking the knife and cutting into his window, she slipped on the black mask over her head and equipped on the leather gloves so that no finger prints are left. Cutting open the window, she saw that the only light that could be found was that of the computer and charging cell phone that was on his desk. Why, she thought, does every teenager have a computer in their rooms for? As far as she was concerned, people like him (worthless scum) just use it to watch porn and jack off to it all.
The first thing she done before stepping in was look around for a rather large rock. One that could be used for such a job as this. After finding one that would fit the job well enough, she slipped it into her hand and jumped into the window. If Snoop was ever to remember that night, the first thing he would remember was feeling his nose brake, the blood tinkling down, and the pillow that was over his face as Cyri knocked him out.

After about thirty minutes, he saw that he was in a shed, had duct tape over his mouth, and could smell the stench of blood through his nose as he tried to breath. In terms of feeling, other then the pain in his nose was the feeling of hopelessness as he was standing on a chair with a thick rope tied around his neck.
He looked around until he saw someone completely black like a shadow standing away from him. He tried to make a noise, only to have the feeling of electricity coarse through his body. The pain was unbearable as it felt like the shock was coming from inside of his stomach. After a few moments, he saw the figure turn around and saw Cyri standing their. He did admit that, with the leather jacket she stole from him, and all of the black clothes, she did look rather frightening.
She walked up to him, her face showing no emotion and her eyes filled with hate.
“If you say one word you will feel a sharp pain in your stomach.” Cyri told him. “While you were knocked out, I found in your room some electro dites and, me thinking, forced them down your throat. A push of a button and your body will feel, what my guess is, about ten thousand bolts of electricity and I know that must hurt like a bitch.” She put her hand on one of the sides of the tape. “I am going to remove the tape. Do not talk unless I give you the order to talk. You speak, you get electrocuted. You try to yell, you hang yourself.” After a few seconds of nodding his head frantically, Cyri removed the tape from Lee’s mouth.
She pulled up a chair a sat across from him. Slouching, she looked at him for a few seconds, carefully planning out her words. It took a few minutes, but she found what was to be said.
“Right now, as I look at it Lee, I have every right in the world right now to kill you. Fuck, I should do so right now. But, instead, I am allowing you to keep your wicked life for two reasons. The first reason is information.”
“I will not say anything to you, you stupid, fucking Gothic bitch!” He yelled. “You can burn in hell for all I care!” Cyri shook her head, with a rather dark smile on her face.
“But I will ask you questions and you will answer. Every time you don’t, I will cut something off of you. And believe me: They will be things you will miss.” After saying the last part in a threatening manner, Lee chuckled.
“One problem: you do not have the balls to do this!” Lee started laughing. Then stopped abruptly. He looked at Cyri was standing up and walking towards him. She walked behind him to where his hands were that and then he felt a sharp pain on his right hand.
For fear of screaming f being electrocuted if he yelled, he tried to keep his screams inside of him. He could try to deal with the pain later on. After seeing his finger thrown onto the ground and Cyri smashing it into the dirt, she turned around and walked back to her seat and looked at him.
“As I have said I have allowed you to keep your wicked life for two reasons. The first is information. I want to know why is it that you killed and raped both of my parents.” Cyri said. Lee spat onto the floor due to his mouth being overfilled with saliva, then looked at her.
“Donnie ordered us to.”
“Why is that?”
“Do I even need to say?”
“Maybe I want you to bitch. Now fucking talk.”
“Because you could bring down his entire operation that our government has spent years making.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes.”
“So, he tried to have me assassinated due to me being able to destroy him. Sounds like Donnie. But now, I want to know who else is working with him. If you want your life, you will start speaking now.” Lee looked down for a few seconds before he started to talk. Even without activating the electricity, he could feel a sharp pain in his stomach. The pain there hurt much worse then the pain on his right hand.
“Mostly the show is ran by Donnie Osbourne, Dieter Lester, Justin Fulaytar, Oren Lui, and Aaron Rodgers. Their main plans, I swear to you, I do not know nothing about.” Cyri leaned back and crossed her legs.
“Why do I have the feeling that you are bullshitting me?”
“Because you do not trust me at all. But ask yourself this: Why would I lie when my fucking life is on the line?”
“Simple: I kill you, you give me false information, I look like a dumbass bimbo in front of Donnie, and then I get elephant and prison fucked. Simple as that.” Lee smiled.
“Then how do you know that I have not told you anything that was false?” Cyri smiled.
“Because I know that my original parents would do something like that. Now,” She said, standing up. “I have all of the info out of you. And some more that did not require me to do some research. So, I tell you the last reason why I kept you alive this long. The second reason is so that you can tell Donnie everything I done to you and what I will do to Snoop. I want him to witness the extent of my mercy by witnessing your body and how it will be. I want him to know that I know. I want him to know, I want him to know. And I want them all to know that they will all soon be, as dead as you.” With that, Lee’s eyes opened wide as Cyri kicked off the chair that was supporting Lee. The first sound was a rather large crack. Then the gurgling he made as he tried to breath for air. After a few moments of acting like a fish out of water, Lee stopped moving.
With no time to think, Cyri placed the knife that she had used into Lee’s dead hand And then made it look like he chopped his own finger off. Taking the already dismembered finger, she picked it up and shoved it into his throat. She turned around and walked back into Lee’s house.
It was still dark outside (the time was a little after five forty five) when Cyri went back into Lee’s room and activated his computer. If she was not under the pressure of being caught at any time, she would have taken his computer and done a complete search through it. But, due to both time and the fact that it was a desk top, she could only do one thing.
She opened a new email message and sent Donnie a little message.

As she was walking down the road to around where Snoop lives, she started thinking about what she had done. Thinking about the body of Lee that now swings back and forth in that back in that barn behind his house. She thought about splicing off his thumb, leaving the suicide note on his computer, and for just doing all that she had done.
One thing she had never, in her entire life, wanted to do was kill someone. Torture, she can handle that. But actually kill someone? Her main emotions were fear, shock, and happiness. The more she thought about it, the more she realized how good it felt to get revenge.
But then she started to feel a little sickened by herself. She could not believe that she went and actually done that without even the slightest bit of second thinking. She just frowned at herself for loving that feeling. But would most humans think like that? Enjoy the feeling of ending someone’s life after they have wrongfully destroyed yours?
But she had no time to think, for she felt someone ram into her.
Being taken by surprised, she was even more shocked to realize who it was.
Blaze. With red and black spiked hair.
The first thing that went through her mind was: Holy shit. I’m fucked. But, he did not seem to recognize her all that well. She tried not to have her face show any emotion. A complete poker face. The only thing she had hoped was that it would work.
“Excuse me, my good woman.” He said, acting polite. “I did not mean to bump into you.” Cyri heard what he said, and tried not to react in anyway that might give off who she was. So, trying to control herself, she looked up and down the streets, trying to find something that would distract her. But, she knew that she could not be silent. So, forcing her voice, she tried to speak in a deeper tone.
“It’s alright.” She said, in a quiet voice. While she was thinking, the only thing that was now going on in her mind was that she wanted him to just go and not bug her again. But, she felt that he would not.
Time moved towards a crawl as she tried to look down. But, like a stubborn mule, he stayed their.
“I am sorry for bugging you, but would I by chance know you from somewhere? Just that, you look rather familiar.” Thinking that he is recognizing her face, she turned up the leather jacket to try, with little accomplishment, to conceal her face. But, as she could guess, that was not working. Needing to throw him off, she thought of a name that would work, one that would try to hide her true identity.
“I doubt you know me with my name being Rooney Rapace.” Blaze shook his head up and down. Dealing with the fact that he might never go, she breathed and tried to relax a little.
“And I doubt you know anyone with the name of Soren Kane.” Blaze said. In Cyri’s mind, she started wondering if that was his real name, or one he made out. The name Blaze, that he had, did seem a bit out of place in her book. But that was that.
The silence dragged on until five seconds felt like one minute. The air and space started to become uncomfortable. Until she felt a little prick on he back when Blaze patted her back.
“Well, my dear lady, I must say that it has been a pleasure making your acquaintance, but now I must go. Who knows, maybe one day we will see each other again. Until then, I bid you farewell.” And with that, Blaze left.
Once he was far enough away, Cyri started feeling some of the pain from the sting she had received. She was now wondering what the pain was up to, but she had to worry about that later.
Now she had to worry about getting to the remains of her home and making damn sure she would not get caught.

The Trial Of Cyri. Chapter Thirteen. REVISED

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

The woman looked at Blaze, smiled, and stepped aside as he entered the house. Once inside, the odor of fine wine and spices along with smoke of cigars filled the air. For a second, he thought that someone took the Mario Puzo novel ‘The Godfather’ to a new extreme.
He looked around at the lodging and took in the entire aspect of the fine art that was surrounding him. If there was one thing he enjoyed about the Don’s house, it would have to be his taste in art. Just, the ancient paintings and sculptures added a certain flare that he, Blaze, misses.
“Take a seat by his door,” the woman who let him in said. “I will send Gothica to get you a drink of… What do you drink now a days, Soren?” Blaze looked at her.
“I will have a coffee. No junk.” The woman nodded her head with a smile as she went into the kitchen to fetch Gothica.
Once he found the Don’s door, he sat in once of the seats out side of it, crossed his legs, and pulled out a novel out of his pocket. One thing about Blaze: he always has a novel with him. No matter what.
Opening the book, he found the page he was last at and started to relax himself as he got lost in the world. While his mind was in the novel, is overall subconscious was on Cyri the entire time. He knew that he told The Children Of Darkness that he was going to be out in the town looking for her. But, at the same time, due to the knowledge of Donnie and his entire organization, he would need as much help as possible.
Before he, McCarty, and Stalin formed The Children Of Nobodies and before they became aware of The Children Of Darkness, they were part of an organization entitled Pate. Being the German word for ‘Godfather’, they understood that they were involved with being in a mafia who’s leader was someone that wanted to end all of the horrors that the Government was associated with.
After the terror that had happened to the families of Blaze, McCarty, and Stalin, they separated themselves from Pate and started their own group to get revenge against the Government themselves. When they left, they were ordered by The Don to never talk or speak of the group or anything that they were associated with.
The Don himself is something of a paranoid man that is at a respectable old age at this point in his life. He never trusted anyone he never knew personally and as such, if one of his ‘Godchildren’ (The Don’s army) were to leave for whatever reason, they were banned from saying anything about Pate due to the off chance that one of The Godchildren comes into contact with someone who might try to take him down.
Getting deep into his novel, he looked up and saw a beautiful girl with shiny black hair, a Victorian styled dress, and a large mug of coffee that was steaming. Putting down his book and standing up while she put down the glass of coffee, Blaze stood up and went to hug Gothica. Gothica, smiling, went and kissed him on his left cheek before they both sat down.
“My God, Gothica,” Blaze said. “It has been a rather long time sense I have seen you.”
“Same here.” She said in a rather sweet soprano voice.
“So, what have you been up to?” Blaze took a sip of his coffee.
“Basically making sure that no one attacks the Don.” She said, leaning back. “Well, what do you expect? After someone like him saves your life, you can’t just ignore him now can you?”
“Point there.” Blaze said, looking at her.
“Now, what has the famous Soren been up to?” Her voice had a certain playful quality. “Still trying to get rid of Donnie and his group?”
“Something like that.”
“Well, do you mind telling an old friend and lover about this?”
“Long story short,” he said with a sigh. He never wants to think about the time that they were together. As much as he loved it, it brought some pain to him to know that he left her. “I am working with a group that is wanting to take down Donnie and I am going to need some help.
“And you think the Don will help you?” Gothica asked.
“Well, I was his best hacker plus best lieutenant, so I think he will make an exception for me.” Then they were both silent until a rather large clock had ranged.
“Sorry to cut this conversation short,” Gothica said. “But I must really go. Look, it has been great seeing you again and we need to catch up in more detail later on.” She hugged Blaze and gave him another kiss. “See ya around, Soren.” Then she walked away, her black high heeled shoes clicking as she departed.
Soren leaned back in his chair and thought about her. He will admit that he missed her, but she was part of a different life and he needed to move on. If he were to bring Gothica into this entire mess, it would only mean disaster for everyone he knows. Even more her.
After about five minutes, he heard the large doors open that were the entrance to the Don’s office. Now, when most people imagine an old Don, they think of a man that has something of a stomach, bulky, and has thinning gray hair. But the man that Blaze saw had thick gray hair, was about as tall as Blaze was (Blaze is six foot), and had a slim built with strong muscle support. For a man that was fifty, he sure as hell knew how to take care of himself.
When the Don saw Blaze, he put his arms around him and embraced him. After about five second, he took Blaze into his office and closed the door. With his cup of coffee in his hand, Blaze sat in one of the leather arm chairs that were laid out in the room. The Don sat behind his desk clearing off some papers. After about five minutes, he gave Blaze his complete attention.
“When my lovely wife Helena first said that you were here Soren,” The Don said, leaning back. “I must confess that I was shocked. I think it was five years ago when you were ten or elven did you tell me that you wanted out to get revenge. If I remember correctly, you said you would not return until you had Donnie’s head on a platter.”
“I am aware of that Don Brando.” Blaze said. “But I come today not for a social call, but I am here asking for your assisstence.” Don Brando looked at Blaze.
“If that is the case,” he said in a cool voice. “Then I should throw you out. When you left, you said you were able to handle things by yourself. And now you are sixteen and you are on your way. You wanted to handle this yourself, then you should handle this without my support.” Blaze took a deep breath and took a sip of coffee.
“I am aware of what I said at the time Don Brando.” Blaze said. “But I come to you today to ask you for your help due to me trying to help someone I know you have had your eye on for quite some time.”
“Oh really? And who will that be Soren?” Blaze lowered his eyes at Don Brando.
“Cyri Elizabeth Cullen.” Just saying her name, Don Brando looked at Blaze in astonishment.
“And what do you know about Cyri?” He asked.
“Other then the fact that she is your Goddaughter by law, I know just about everything that there is to no about her.” Don Brando looked at Blaze, then a smirked grew on his face.
“Now that you brought my Goddaughter into this, I can not help but listen. What is it that you want me to help you with?” Blaze crossed his legs and sat up straight. He moved some of his black and red hair out of his face.
“Well, long story short due to you not keeping up with events that have happened as of recent, she is actually the head of a gang that is trying to put an end to Donnie, her foster parents were massacred last night, and now she is missing. On behalf of her gang The Children Of Darkness, I am asking that you aid us in searching for her and to make sure that nothing terrible or tragic befalls on her.” Don Brando scratched his cheek.
“You said something of a gang she is with.” He said. “In the shortest way possible, tell me about this gang.”
“Basically she and an army of friends formed the gang to put an end to the evil that a man named Ratliff caused. Once they got rid of him, Cyri unknowingly started dating Donnie. Once two of Cyri’s friends (who are hackers) found out who he was, they tried to put an end to him. It worked for a while, until now.”
“Hmm. And how did you find out about Cyri?”
“Simple: she is, or was, dating the original leader of the group. The person known as Vincent GesuDio.”
“Your half brother.”
“Yes. Now you know the basics of what is going on. The only thing to add is that due to Oren and Aaron being released from prison, they are in talks with some men in politics to try to get their daughter back. Their first step was to massacre Cyri’s foster parents: Heidi and Marks Heights.”
“What do they hope to gain from all of this?” Don Brando asked.
“For the life of me, I do not know at all.” Blaze said. “But, the reason why I come to you today is to ask for your assistance. You see, last night Cyri left her house when her family was being attacked. I doubt it was due to her being a coward, but due to her realizing that there is nothing she could do about this. So, with her now missing, me and her friends are trying to search for her. But one thing I realized is that we are going to need as much help as possible from reliable sources. So, as a friend, I am asking you to help me.” Don Brando leaned back and thought for a moment. Looking at Blaze, he thought of something.
“While I know that she is my Goddaughter, I need to know what is in here for me? Why should I help you?” Blaze thought for a few seconds until he thought of something.
“You help us, you get closer to Donnie. Now, I know that you want him due to him being one of the few people that are in control of the entire underage sex trafficking rings, so you help us with Cyri, you will be one step closer because believe me: sooner or later, they will get her and she is our beacon. We find her, we protect her, we get Donnie. How does that sound?” The Don sat back and thought about this for a few moments.
The offer that Blaze has said was rather good, but the main question on the matter was: was it worth his time. He looked at what they are doing now. When they lost Blaze originally, they lost their best hacker. He was already ahead of Don Brando, so working with Blaze would get him somewhere. But, there was one thing that sounded even more tastier.
“One other condition,” Blaze looked at Brando. “I want the Children Of Darkness to become one with Pate.”
“I do not know about that.”
“Why is that?”
“While Cyri maybe second in command and I might be third, the overall chief of all of this is Vincent GesuDio and from what I know, he is in Boise, Idaho at this moment and time. If you want to talk about combining groups with us, you will have to talk to him first.”
“And how do you suppose I do that?”
“I know I am betraying everyone’s trust, but this is the only way to make sure that we find Cyri and that she is safe.” Blaze took out a sheet of paper and wrote down Vincent’s email address.
“I have emailed Vincent before, basically today, and he is aware of Cyri. Long story short, he wants us to do whatever we can in order to make sure that she, being Cyri, is safe. Email Vincent and let him know that you are a mutual friend of mine and that is how you are aware of me.” He handed Don Brando the email address. After looking at it, Brando looked up at Blaze.
“I will see what I can do. If you get an email from me, telling you what it is that I decide on, you know how to act from there.” Once Blaze nodded his head, he stood up and shook hands with Don Brando.
After a long list of pleasantries, Blaze departed to leave the Don behind him. The only thing that he had on his mind during this was that he hoped he was doing the right thing.

Mychael was at the front door of the house, and then released a rather large sigh. He knew that, more then likely, he will not at all be accepted here and will be thrown out. Just because you are related by blood does not mean that you have to love one another. He knew that, but hoped that this would be something else entirely.
He took his index finger on his right hand and rang the door bell. He leaned back on his heels and waited, looking around. Across the street, he saw what appeared to be a teenager, like him, holding hands with this beautiful ebony girl. As Mychael saw this, he started wondering if that would ever be him. Would he ever be able to lead a normal life and, if possible, leave this life behind?
“You have the chance, but some blood will be shed in the process. For good to happen, evil must be mixed.” Garret said in his head.
Mychael shook his head as he tried to block out the voice of Garret. All through the night, he was awoken by hearing countless conversations that Garret tried to form. A few times, he tried to talk to him quietly to Garret, to make him quiet. But, he constantly heard Garret mocking him, telling him that this was all due to him not listening to him earlier on. It was times like this that Mychael wished he could shoot someone in their dreams. Even more if it was a ghost.
Returning his head back down to earth, he heard the front door open. The person inside of the door was about six foot, two and a half inches tall, weighed about two hundred and twenty pounds, bald but had on a Kangol hat. Once he looked at Mychael, he took a long inhale on his cigarette, and spoke as the steam came from his mouth.
“My nigger.” He said, his voice strong with authority. “And to what do I owe this extreme pleasure?” Mychael looked at his Uncle, he tried to get his thoughts together.
“Uncle Leroy,” Mychael said. “I was wondering if I might come in.” The man known as Leroy looked at Mychael with a smirk.
“Only on the condition that you call me Jewels.” Once Mychael agreed, he walked into his house.
The first thing that he noticed was the posters on the walls that were for Hong Kong action films, anime, and a large stack of vinyl records. For the most part, the albums were either old school hip-hop, R&B, some funk and disco, with a little bit of rock and metal. While Jewels went into the kitchen to get his nephew a drink, Mychael looked around.
“I must say,” Mychael said. “I like what you have done with the place.” Jewels laughed a little.
“After spending some time with an organization I was part of - you remember, it had something to do with getting a breif case filled with diamonds - and when I decided to turn away from a life of being a gangster, I ended up getting a rather large some of money. So, my girlfriend dumping me, I decided to make this place a haven for me. Now, I want to know what you are doing here.” Jewels looked at his nephew, trying to get the answer out of him. But, the first thing that came out of Mychael’s mouth was not really what Jewels expected.
“Before I tell you, can I please have a cigarette. I need one. After all of the shit that had happened, I just need one to calm down my nerves.” Jewels, flashing a smile, stood up and grabbed one out of his pants pocket and a pack of matches.
“One thing I will never forget telling you: never get involved with gangs and drugs. They will lead to your downfall. And yet, I hear from old friends that you are part of a gang that worse out bitches. I do not, at all, approve of that. But, how I see it: you are a growing man and as such, you should make your own choices. Now, before I start getting a little pissed here, why the fuck are you here?” Mychael took a wild breath as he inhaled his entire cigarette and smashed it into the ash tray that was between him and his uncle.
“Due to me being over the shock already,” Mychael said. “I will be open and blunt about this. Last night, I was nearly killed.” Jewels looked at his nephew.
“What the fuck do you mean?”
“Exactly what I mean. I, ever sense I started hearing voices in my head - do not ask - have been wanting to get out. Okay, I will admit that. But, what I was not expecting was what had happened last night.” Once Mychael was done talking, his face started to get messed up.
“Hey, hey, hey, little man.” Jewels said. “Tell me what happened?” Mychael took a deep breath before he told Jewels.
It took about thirty minutes to explain everything, and once everything was said and done, the only thing Jewels could do was stare straight ahead. Mychael looked at his Uncle’s eyes, looking deep into them. The only thing he could see was a dark, bitter pool of hatred forming. Jewels took his head and nodded down for a few moments, before he looked up and stood up.
“Nigger,” he said. “Get ready. We are going to your house.”

Cyri laid the bags all over her motel room bed and looked at what she bought. With the cheap clothes and other accessories, she had about fifty dollars left and that had to be for food. Seeing as how she could not spend a lot, she decided that ti would be best to eat only once every other day like she did when she worked at that sweat shop when she was first adopted.
She picked up the box of hair dye and read the back of the canister for how to use it. With a sigh, she grabbed the pair of scissors she stole from the front desk (in was in a jar filled with pins) and with the box, went into the bathroom.
Looking through the shelves, she found a razor for shaving and figured that this is what she needed. She turned on the water that was at the faucet in the bath tub and started her metamorphosis.
Only thing she knew: This was not going to be easy. Not physically, but mentally.

Blaze walked out of Don Brando’s house and started his walk around the town to find out where Cyri could have been. Due to her house being near by, he figured it would be best to first checked their to see if he could find anything.
The street was rather quiet and disserted but has a rather strong wind blowing up and down, moving the paper everywhere. With his earbuds in, he started playing the score to a film he had just recently watched. It had something to do with the son of the devil and him being in the form of a small child.
As he walked, he only noticed one person. She was about five foot five, dyed black hair with half of the hair short on one side, long on the other. She had on a rather worn looking leather jacket that flipped in the wind, reveling the black pants and high heeled shoes. In her mouth, she was smoking a cigarette with a few piercing here and there. She had her head down as if she might have been in deep concentration.
From what Blaze could tell, that was not Cyri at all. Looked far to different to him. But, he had to be sure.
Acting like a clumsy oaf, he walked near here and, with perfection, was able to make it look like he accidentally knocked into her. For a few seconds, an awkward silence filled the air as Blaze cleared his throat. The first thing about the women’s face was that she had on a poker face.
“Excuse me, my good woman.” He said, acting polite. “I did not mean to bump into you.” She looked down, then up the street.
“It’s alright.” She said, in a quiet voice. Then, acting curious, he looked at her again.
“I am sorry for bugging you, but would I by chance know you from somewhere? Just that, you look rather familiar.” The women upturn her jacket over her bottom half of her face without much luck.
“I doubt you know me with my name being Rooney Rapace.” Blaze shook his head up and down.
“And I doubt you know anyone with the name of Soren Kane.” Blaze said, paying attention to her face. Still, there was something there that did not feel quite right. So, stalling time, he put his hands in his pocket. For about ten seconds they stood there in silence, until Blaze took his right hand out of his pocket and patted Rooney on the back.
“Well, my dear lady, I must say that it has been a pleasure making your acquaintance, but now I must go. Who knows, maybe one day we will see each other again. Until then, I bid you farewell.” And with that, Blaze left.
Once he was far enough away, he took out his cell phone and pulled up the application for tracker beams. He saw the one he had planted on Rooney’s back. After sitting off a sting (which was to stick her in the back like a thin needle) to track her, he put back on his earbuds and listened to music as he walked away.

The Trial Of Cyri. Chapter Twelve. REVISED

CHAPTER TWELVE

No one in Blaze’s meeting room felt like talking. They had all read the newspapers, seen the news station, they were aware of all of the rumors that had been created. From what they understand, this was not at all what anyone needed. Just another point for Donnie.
Blaze sat with his coffee mug steaming with his head in his hands. He did not like the idea of this at all. This was one thing he wanted to avoid at all times. The only thing going through his mind, other then the obvious, was why he did not see this coming at all. He thought he could see this, but obviously he did not.
Looking at everyone, he saw the shock, worry, and just plain scare and anger burnt on everyone. They all shared the same hatred for this entire scenario as he did, no questions asked.
Once the quiet started creeping under his skin, he figured that it would be about time for him to start talking. Due to Cyri now missing, he now was in control of The Children Of Darkness and as such, he had to lead this souls to where they had to go.
“Okay my lovely friends and cohorts.” He said, sipping his coffee. “I doubt I have to talk about what had gone down last night. For all I know, it is city wide news. As we speak this moment, people are waking up to their newspaper to read about a fire that had happened last night. But, I doubt that they will look up anything about Mychael and his tragic loss.” Blaze looked around at his friends thinking. “Before we begin talking, one thing needs to be said: Where has Mychael gone off to? Job? Jadis?” The two mentioned people looked at each other, then at Blaze.
“He said that he is going to go solo. If he needs any assistance, then he will contact either me or Job.” Jadis said.
“And how do we know that we can trust him?” Blaze said.
“Well, last night he stayed at my house.” Job said. “ Due to no one being able to go into my closet - I have a few book shelves that cover the opening - I was able to hide him in their. While in their, I took his phone and installed a tracking program into it. He can not find the file due to it being attached to everything that is on his phone.”
“And what if he gets a new phone?” Blaze said.
“That is where the next part of my plan comes in handy. I burnt a copy of his phone and personal information into my computer. Apparently, he intrusted his life into that phone. Well, due to that, I am able to see any purchases that he has made, where he is at, has been to, etc. If his phone gets destroyed and he buys a new one, all I have to do is check up on what the new phone’s number is and reinstall the program. He will never know that he has it.” Everyone looked at Job.
“Amazing what you think up of when you are bored at home with a drunk of a father and a step mother that should be with someone better.” Job said.
“Impressive.” Blaze said, looking at Job. “Okay, we have our friend Mychael under surveillance, now to move on to Cyri. What do we know as of now?” Maxine looked up.
“Well, from what the news papers have been able to get, as of now, she is being suspected of killing Mark and Heidi.” Everyone started talking at once until Blaze slammed his fist down.
“Everyone calm thy self!” He yelled over their voice. “Now, Maxine, you care to explain what the hell do you mean by that?” Maxine cleared her throat.
“Well, from what I have read, the press were talking to some of the neighbors and someone said that they saw her, being Cyri, running out of the house with blood on her. Being curious, this neighbor called the police. She said that, about three minutes later, she heard an explosion as the house was destroyed. By the time the police and fire department got there, there was nothing left except the burnt corpses of Mark and Heidi. They have said that due to the graphic nature of the bodies, no one is allowed to publish any photos.” Everyone stared at Maxine when she was silent. The only sound that was made was Joan saying something under her breath. No one bothered to notice.
“Fucking hell, man.” Blaze responded at gulping half of his coffee. “Well, any idea as to where she would go? Or is at, at the moment?” Everyone shook their heads.
“Okay, my favorite hackers.” Blaze said to Jadis and Job. “Do you have anyway of tracking her cell phone?” Both of them shook their head no. “Okay, what we need to do is find Cyri before it is too late. The last thing we need is to have a psychotic teenage girl hell bent on slaughtering people. That girl has been through hell and back. She has experience things that only people can dream of write about. If I know Cyri, which is little, then what would be going into her mind would be the total hell and damnation of the cunts who did this, and the dicks responsible.” Everyone stared at Blaze in agreement.
“So,” He said. “Due to me fearing this sense I heard about it last night, I have come up with an idea of how to find Cyri. Now, the reason why I did not call all of you to create something of an idea for this is because we need to be organize. We need to have a clear plan if we are going to get through this. So, here is my plan.
“Due to our school no longer giving a rat’s ass about who is there anymore, each of us will spend one day the next few weeks oh so looking over this town, scanning around to see if we can find out where our angel of death is at.” He looked around him. “Sound good?” Everyone said yes.
“That is what I like to hear.” He said with a little pride in his voice. “Now, if any of you have any ideas about this plan, then I suggest that you speak to me before you decide to act on your own. That is the last thing we need. So, before you do something stupid, think about it and ask.”
“So, what do we do now?” Zat said, looking at Blaze.
“Simple: Today we just hang tight and try to figure out where she is at. Due to this being my plan, I am going to look around the center of town to see if I can find where she is at. If something happens, I will contact you all immediately.” Blaze took a breath. After a moment of silence, Tad looked up.
“Is Vincent going to know about this, at all?” Blaze looked at the table they were all at.
“I have thought about that, actually.” Blaze said. “What I am going to do is write Vincent and email explaining exactly what is going on. That should take me no less then thirty minutes to do. Once that is over with, I will go out and look for her.” The rest of the time, they all sat down and talked over what will happen once she was found. From what they have all decided, this was not going to be pretty.
One thing Blaze did not tell them was Oren and Aaron’s idea of wanting to get Cyri back. If they thought it would be hell now, they were only kidding themselves.

Back last night, after shooting him in the groin, Cyri ran away from her house as fast and as unnoticeable as she could. Down some of the back allies of the houses, she tried to stay in the shadows.
She tried to ignore her heart beating as she ran faster and faster down the road. While she running, her mind was thinking nonstop the entire time. She tried not to think about what had happened, but try to get away from Snoop and Lee.
After almost being caught by them in their black SUV, she was able to find a back ally and take a few minutes to breath before she started anything. Sliding down onto the ground, she made sure that the shadows eclipsed her completely. The last thing she needed was someone noticing her in this state.
She smelt some of the splattered blood that was on her. The stench of iron repulsed her, but she tried to put that aside. Then, relaxing the muscles and bones in her body, she just stared ahead.
Part of her wanted to curl up in a ball and cry over her loss. But, at the moment of time, there would have been no point. If she cried, she would only prove to be the weak little Cyri she was and has been. She had had it with this entire scenario.
Thinking, she understood that her entire life has been someone’s playground, just so someone can fuck her over. Well, she thought, not anymore. She would miss Heidi and Mark, seeing as they were the only real family she had left, but she would get revenge.
Forgetting the pain she felt in her legs, she went into her pocket and pulled out some money she kept at all times. Together, she had around two hundred dollars in cash. It was times like this that she was glad that she never spent a dime on herself.
Taking a deep breath, the first thing she done was walk into a gas station. Walking quickly so that she would not be seen, she ran straight to the girl’s restroom and locked the door. Taking off her shirt and putting it on the toilet, she walked to the sink and clogged the drain that was at the bottom.
Filling it up with water, she washed all of the blood off of her. As she watched herself in the mirror, she saw that she was changing. Each times she removed a spot of blood, she wondered what had happened to her to become this emotionless.
She knew that a normal person would be crying over the deaths of their two parents (or parent figures), but she did not. Aware that she decided that she was not going to show anymore emotion, she still wondered.
It took about two hours to clean herself and her shirt plus drying it. Once back on her, she walked out and started to wonder down the aisles of the shop. She picked up a few cheap things to eat and, to her surprise that they sold here, a package of guitar strings.
Once she went to the cash register, the clerk asked why she took so long. Cyri responded by saying nothing.
Having her belongings in the cheap, plastic bag they gave you, she walked down a few block. The world around here seemed idiotic and pathetic. She decided not to waste a second with these insignificant people and places.
After walking a few more block, she found a motel that was open. Sighing, she walked on in trying to ignore the looks that people gave her. What they saw was a dirty, bruised, and tired looking fifteen year old girl.
Once up at the clerk’s desk, she waited for someone to go and help her. It was an elderly gentleman that came to her aid.
“Hello young lady.” He said with a cheerful tone. Cyri just stared at him with a face of stone. “What can I help you with?”
“Cheapest room you got.” She said in a quick manner, her tone a little harsh. The elderly clerk went to the computer and pulled up a room that would be twenty dollars a night. Once she was given the keys to the room, she picked up her bags and started to walk away. Until the clerk said something.
“Where are you parents at?” The clerk tried to be nice and friendly, but his reward for his effort was only Cyri’s silent, emotionless look. He took that as a sign that she was not to be bothered with.
Once inside of her room, she laid down on the bed and stared at the ceiling. For about a forty five minutes she did not move. Just, laid there thinking. In her mind, she already decided on what she is going to do, but she would have to plan everything out carefully.
Walking about, she went into the bathroom where the cheap coffee maker was at and made herself a cup. Sitting down, she went threw her bags and grabbed the first piece of food that she could find.
Chewing away, not caring about the taste, she decided to start thinking of ways of how to deal with this problem. After about five minutes, we came up with an idea. Standing up, throwing the food and guitar strings into a shelf in the room, she grabbed the one hundred and fifty dollars she had left and closed the room.
Once she was outside of the hotel, she went to the local convenience store to buy a few items. If she was going to go solo, a few pieces of equipment where needed for Cyri’s transformation.

It was bright morning when Mychael woke up, sweating like crazy. Once he remembered where he was at, he opened the closet door to find that Job had removed the shelves that blocked him and left him some food to eat. On the bed there was a note that told Mychael to take the clothes that were laid out and to change. Taking a deep breath, Mychael parted his old clothes and wore what was given to him.
After about five minutes and making sure that the area was clear, he grabbed his gun (fully loaded) and left the house of Job in search of a new place to sleep at.
He walked around town with the hood of the cheap jacket that Job had given him on his head. He did not want to be seen as he walked. The little money that he had, he would need to go and find someone that was willing to house him for a while. Just long enough to figure out what to do. There was one person that came to mind, but he did not know if he could trust him or not.
But what choice did he have?

His hair spiked and dyed black with red tips, along with sun glasses over his eyes, Blaze looked like a complete shadow has he looked around the city in search of Cyri.
He told the members that he was going to search every where for her, but he had a better idea. Putting in the ear buds for his MP4, he walked while listening to Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and looking around.
He knew the man he was going to see told him to only report to him if it was needed. But, with such an occasion, he deemed it necessary.
It took him a while, but he found the house that held The Man. He walked up to the front door and rang twice and waited. Rocking on his feet, he waited until the door opened. The person that answered was a woman that was about middle aged but had a certain beauty to her.
“Yes young man?” She said in an elegant tone.
“Yes, my name is Soren Kane. I was wondering if I could see the Don for a few moments if he is not busy.” Blaze always loved his real name, but he only used it when he had to see Him.

The Trial of Cyri. Chapter Eleven. REVISED

CHAPTER ELEVEN

If there was one thing that, at this point in his life, that Job would agree to if you were to ask him what the best thing in the world was, he would say it would be that of Jadis’ lips against his. These two love birds were sitting on his bed, just wanting to spend some time with one another. Due to numerous reasons (like school, Donnie, being busy), they have to find time for one another. When they find that time, it becomes almost like pure heaven for them. There was one thing that got on Job’s nerves, other then his father and his drunken friends, was his new step-mother’s annoying Valley-Girl-esque personality that wanted to make him vomit.
Even more if she was knocking on his door, wanting to see him. Job heard the three knocks and released his lips from Jadis.
“Blond bimbo calls.” He said as he opened the door. When he saw her, just seeing her disgracing herself in front of him was hell enough.
“Hey, uh, your  father, like, needs you or something.” She said in her annoying voice. Jadis stood up, her black casual dress reaching the ground, and followed him out of his room.
Down the stairs that were covered with pictures of numerous sports teams. When you go into a house, the one thing that you expect to find are pictures of loved one, relations, etc. Not pictures of skimpy girls doing back-flips, jocks kneeling down having their pictures taken, and the works like that. One thing that Job had always told Jadis was that once he turns eighteen, he vowed to escape this house and life time. Due to him turning sixteen on July 31, he had something of two life times to go with. Hopefully, he hoped, they would pass by quickly.
Once he and Jadis reached the end of the status, they saw the sorry sight of his father. By now, he has exploded up to four hundred and fifty pounds, never shaves (or showers for that matter), and marinates himself in the odor of alcohol and cigars. Jadis tried not to over reacted at the sight of him but it was hard. Even more when he opened his mouth and the sight and stench of his rotten teeth were the main thing that filled the area.
“So, what ye doing? Fucking that bitch or some shit like that?” Job’s father, Drake, said. As the years went by, the hatred boiled up inside of Job over his father.
“No father. We were just talking. Like two friends.” He tried to calm himself. He did not want a repeat of the last time his voice was raised.
“Like hell!” He said with a disgusting grin. “I see that little bitches legs getting wider and wider every day. I know you are sticking your cock into her cunt every ten minutes. I just fucking know.”
“Well, I will be frank: you are wrong about that.”
“You calling me a liar, boy?” He said, trying to stand up. Job, whose hand was in Jadis’ hand, took his index finger and tapped her hand five times. They wait five seconds, then Jadis began to speak.
“I’m sorry, but I have to go.” She said. “Job, would you mind escorting a lady out, please?”  Job looked at his father, then darted his eyes at Jadis.
“Sure.” he turned towards his father. “We will speak when I get back.” As they walked to the front door, he heard his father yell at him something about having sex with her. Once they got to the front door, Jadis wrapped her arms around Job’s neck and kissed him.
“I will be back in a few minutes. I will meet you in your room. Keep the window open for me.” She went and ran off down towards her home. Job hated this. Completely. He admitted that he had feelings for her. But, what he hated was how his father treated her. It was times like this that made him glad that his mother divorced him and did not see his downfall. Only the start. He did feel like she was a coward for leaving him, but for whatever reasons, he was just glad that she did not see this.
When he closed the door, the entire area was filled with the noise of his father belching in the other room. He turned and went to go up stairs, trying to ignore the beast that was his father.
“Done paying your whore?” He asked.
“Dad,” Job said, feeling his side. “I am not in the mood to talk to you. I am not even in the mood to hear you. Are you having fun screwing around with my life just because you screwed your’s up? Well, I am getting sick of it and I just wish that you would stop.” He went to walk up to his room. But his father said one thing that almost made Job loose it.
“Yeah, you are just like the little son of a bitch that whore I married was. Exactly like her. Next, you will be out trying to fuck anyone you like and I will just sit back and laugh!” Then, Drake unleashed a disgusting, sickly laugh.
Upstairs, half way, he saw Comecia standing their, with tears in her eyes. When Job looked at his new step mother, he was disturbed by her, but still disliked her.
She came to him and put her arms around him, crying into his shoulder. He hated when this happened.
“Job, I am so sorry he is like this. Please, like, understand that I am trying.” SHe then broke into tears as she was yelled, ordered, to go back down. When Job turned to see her, the one thing he saw was the slashing on her back. He knew that Drake abused her, and he wished he knew what to do about this.
When he reached his bedroom door, he heard something in his room. He knew that Jadis was not there yet, it was too early. He felt his side and reminded himself that his gun was there. Around the city, he had been hearing about a rise in house raids and, just incase, he always kept a small gun by his side. And yes, it did get tempting at times to pull it out and shoot his father in the eyes.
Once his gun was drawn, he looked inside and automatically put his arms out in front of him, pointing the gun at Mychael who was sitting on his bed. Once Mychael looked and saw that Job had his gun pulled out, he wiped out his own and pointed it at Job. They had, what people call, a Mexican Stand-off.
“You have a lot of nerves getting your nigger ass into this house.” Job said, locking his bedroom door.
“I am aware of that.” Mychael said between tears.
“Now, what about we start by hearing what the hell you are doing in my bedroom.” Job, his gun pointed at Mychael the entire time, walked over to his desk, constantly point it at him.
“I will say if you first put your gun down.”
“Like fucking hell I will!”
“I know why you won’t, but I will say this: if I wanted to kill you, I would have. But I have not as of now. But, to show you proof that I mean no harm, here is my second gun.” He picked up Lee’s gun and threw it on the floor by Job’s feet. Once it slid over, Job picked it up, saw that it had bullets in it, and pointed it at Mychael.
“Now the other gun.” Job said, his voice tense.
“I am not that stupid.” Mychael said. “You could, due to us being enemies, try to have me killed right now. No way, I am not falling for that one.”
“Then how do we fix this problem?” Job’s eyes darted to the window that was over his bed.
“You empty out your guns and I will do the same.” Mychael said, as Job saw the shadow of Jadis pull out one of her knives.
“Instead, I have a different, better idea.” Job looked at Jadis. “NOW!” he screamed as Jadis jumped out of the curtains, looked at Mychael and slice his arm down the front side of his wrist. When the attack ensued, Jadis kicked Mychael in the head, took his gun, and pointed it directly at him.
Once she was off of his bed, she stood beside Job, looking at Mychael. She took and emptied the gun, only to discover that the gun was empty.
“You know,” She said. “You really suck at being an assassin.” Job emptied all but one bullet from his gun, and left the second gun on his desk.
“Maybe that was because I am not here to kill either of you.” Mychael said, taking off his shirt to wrap his scar up. They were quiet for a few moments, the silence haunting them in the air. It must have been about ten minutes before anyone said anything.
“Now, why don’t you tell us what the hell you are doing in my house.” Job said, leaning back.
“I had to escape.”
“Escape what? The cops? If so, wrong fucking house.” Job said, his voice getting aggravated.
“Now, is that how you treat an old friend and comrade?” Mychael said.
“That was some long fucking time ago when me and Job were very different people.” Jadis said, her voice getting pissed.
“Once you are friends with someone, you never stop being friends with that person. You may try, but ultimately, you will fail. You will always crawl back to that person.” Mychael said, leaning back against the now closed window.
“Stop beating around the fucking bush and get to the Goddamn point. Why the hell are you here and who were you running away from? Even more, why were you crying?” Job asked.
“I was running away from Snoop and Lee.” Mychael said. Job and Jadis looked at each other.
“Okay. Why?” Jadis asked.
“They were ordered to kill me.” Jadis raised her eye brows.
“Your two friends, tried to kill you?” Mychael nodded his head. “Why would they try to slaughter you?” Jadis asked, sitting on the floor.
“Simple: Let’s just say that I have been hearing voices.”
“We are aware of that.” Mychael looked up at them.
“How?” Job pulled up the audio file on his computer.
“One day at school, you were talking to someone, I do not care nor do I remember exactly, about hearing Ratliff’s voice in your head.” Job said.
“And I take it one of you recorded the conversation. Not bad.”
“So, what I am now wondering,” Said Jadis. “Is where is your family at this moment.” Mychael buried his head in his hands and started shaking.
“Those two killed them both.” At the same time, Job and Jadis’ jaws dropped.
“Killed them?” One of the two asked. “Okay, if they were aimed at killing you, then why your parents?”
“Simple: so it can look like a gang related incident. Think about it: it is all perfect. Kill me and my family, there will be no way to tell what has happened.” Mychael said between sobs. They were all quiet for some time. “But, there is one thing I fear. One of you, I do not care who, call Cyri’s home number.” They were quiet, looking at him quizzically. Then he yelled at them to just do it. Well, he attempted to yell over the vibrations of the television that was on down stairs.
Jadis grabbed both hers and Job’s phone and tried to call Cyri. After a few times, she gave up. Returning the phones, she told Mychael that they could not reach her.
“What the fuck is the big deal then?” Mychael looked at her, and Job. Took him a few minutes, but then he could finally speak.
“I am sorry to say this, but it is too late.”
“What is?” Said Job.
“What I feared. As a order from Donnie, we were asked to carry out a mission. Before I continue, I need you to check the other gun.” Job did so, and noticed that it was missing two bullets. Once he told Mychael, he lowered his head even more.
“Then it is what I feared: They have killed Mark and Heidi.” Both Job and Jadis looked at each other in horror.

The time was around six in the afternoon. By now, the sun was settled and the sky had numerous shades of pink and orange, the neighbors were out and about having fun, or past out in their warm and comfortable beds. And up on the driveway was a black car that had tainted windows. Looking around to make sure that no one can see into the car, Lee killed the engine and took out his gun.
One thing about both him and Snoop: they had no idea what model guns they had. As Donnie figured it, it would help in prevention of them having to describe them in the court of law. If they attempted, they would be proven innocent due to lack of information.
Taking one last look around, to make sure that no one was around, they slipped on their rubber gloves, leather jackets, and black hoods as they hid their guns and other tools. Then, with confidence, they walked up the steps to Cyri’s house.
In the house, at this time, Cyri was in one of the many back rooms, trying to clear her mind by reading a rather large volume that had to deal with parallel worlds and ice bears. In the living room, Mark was watching an art house film while his wife, Heidi, was busy being snuggled up next to him.
While they were getting into their film, they heard the front door knocked. Heidi, looking at Mark, went to the door and opened the peep hole. Standing outside, she saw Snoop and Lee without their hoods on looking at her.
“Yes? What is it that you need?” She asked, a sense of feeling insecure in her voice.
“Yes, you see we need some help. Our car broke down while we were driving and we need our car to start working again. We are needed somewhere right this moment, and it is crucial that ouw car works. Besides, it belongs to my father and he is expecting it back and, well, we just need some help. Can you please help us?” Heidi looked at Mark who went to grab the car keys.
“They are just two kids, right?” He asked her as he started to go outside.
“Yeah, just two kids that need to go somewhere for some reason. GO help them sweetie.” She kissed him on the cheek as he opened the front door.
The moment the front door was opened, he felt a terrible pain in his abdomen as Snoop took a walking cane and bashed him in the stomach. Jumping over Mark’s body, Lee went and grabbed Heidi, slamming his gun down on her head.
“Now, now, now Heidi,” He said mockingly. “We are just doing our jobs.” With that, he took his gun and shot Heidi in the shoulders and in the knee caps. Lee done that same thing to Mark.
Closing the door, he took Mark and strapped him to a chair, looking over Heidi’s body. Lee took some pieces of tape, and strapped open Mark’s eye lids so he can see the entire performance.
“You move your eyes for one second, expect to say bye-bye to one of your fingers.” And with that, Snoop forced Heidi to witness Lee taking a pair of pliers and spliced off one of Mark’s fingers. Once Mark started screaming in pain, Lee stuck the finger into Mark’s mouth then taped his mouth shut.
Strapping Heidi to the floor, Snoop took the scissors and started to clip away Heidi’s clothes until there was nothing left but her skin naked with the bullet holes in her.
Snoop, who went and removed his pants, leaned forward and whispered in her ear.
“This is what happens when you have a bitch for a daughter.” And with that, he inserted himself into her and allowed her to scream as much as she liked. All the while, he constantly beaten her in the face until there was just her screaming with blood everywhere.
After he was done, Lee had his turn with her, being more rough then the last. All the while, Cyri saw this with her own eyes. She stormed into her room and went threw all of her drawers until she found her gun that Tad had given all the members of The Children Of Darkness. When his mother dated a police officer, Tad sneaked in and was able to steal from some of the cops their guns without them noticing. It was too easy, but back to the story.
Setting the gun’s safety off, she sneaked out to the lobby of the house and saw Lee still fucking Heidi. She aimed at his head, ready to shoot. She had everything set, and then fired it directly into Snoop’s knee.
Snoop feel down and bashed his head into the chair. Lee looked up, pulled back on his pants, and started to look for who shot that. Before he went, he took his foot and kick Heidi in the side before he shot both her and Mark in the head.
“No need to have them going around, blabbing themselves away.” He said as Snoop gotten up, fought the pain, and then went out into the car.
Lee looked around, his gun already set for the next shot. In the hallway he went, ready to try to kill Cyri. Every door he busted open, there was nothing. Wanting to mess with her, he started taunted her, calling out her name like she was a poor ally cat. When, as he turned around, he felt a slice on his foreleg.
He fell down to the ground, yelping in shock for a second as he saw Cyri running away. He taunted her to shoot him, so had it with his mocking, she did. But, not quite where she expected. She was aiming for his head, but accidentally shot him in the testicles. The last thing she heard from him, before she left, was him screaming. The thing on her mind, was the image of Heidi’s rape and the execution of both of the only people who were a true mother and father to her.
Once she was outside, she ran as far away as she could. At the same time she went outside, Snoop came back in, trying to catch his breath by bringing in a few canisters of gasoline. He checked up on Lee and threw on him a role of duct tape.
“Like I read in a book, just tape yourself up. Once we handle Mychael, we will talk to Donnie about this.” With that, Lee walked into a room and started to tape his wounds.
Snoop took the gasoline, made a trail that lead to outside of the house, and then waited for Lee to come outside. They took off driving, but only for something of a few moments. Once they were far away, Snoop took out a home made Molotov Cocktail and threw it at the house.
While the boys were taking pain killers and drinking a few shots of alcohol in the car, their stereo was playing The Trammp’s ‘Disco Inferno’.

“Okay, I understand that they are dead.” Job said as he tried to push his shock aside. “But what I want to now know is: Where the fuck is Cyri?” Mychael looked at him, tears still falling from his eyes.
“Is their anyone you guys can guess at? Anyone that she can trust?” Jadis and Job looked at one another, both deep in thought.
“It could be anyone. Job, call the guys and I will call the girls. Let’s see if we can find our Cyri.” With that, Job and Jadis called all of their friends to find her.
But, to their horror, everyone has seen the flames and was wondering the same thing.

The Trial of Cyri. Chapter Ten. REVISED

CHAPTER TEN

Ronnie placed his coffee cup next to Job’s, but across from Cyri’s. They all sat at the round table in the coffee shop in the middle of the day. They were all bored, nothing to do, and it has been a while sense it was just them three sitting around, talking to one another. Most of the times the past few weeks, when they meet, it had to deal with business or, like when Cyri’s parents got out of prison, needing comfort. So, just to sit around with two good friends and share a few cups of coffee was what Cyri wanted.
“Do you really like working here at all?” Cyri asked Job as she placed down her cup filled with Blueberry Cobbler coffee.
“It’s okay, I guess.” He responded. “I mean, yeah it would have been better to work in a regular coffee house. But, to have this place combined with a book shop makes it better. At least I have ten trillion books I can skim while I am bored.” They all agreed.
“Now, Cyri,” Ronnie asked, looking at her. “There is one thing I am wondering: how are you coming along without Vincent? I mean, you are not going mad or anything, right?” Cyri laughed a little.
“And what? Be like that bimbo in that vampire series? Hell no. I will put it like this: I miss him like everyone else. That I will admit. But, be so obsessed that I want to kill myself if I am not around him? No. Not at all.”
“Really?”
“Really. Oh, wait. You want me to act all depressed? Sorry, but not going to happen anytime soon.” She leaned back, sipping her drink with a smile on her laugh. “Besides, I have more important matters at hand and you two should be aware of that.”
“And I was hoping that we would have a conversation that did not involve business.” Job said with a little whine in his voice.
“I was not going to bring up business Jobby Boy, what I was going to bring up is something else entirely. But sense you brought it up, we might as well talk about it. What I want to know is, quite simply your opinions on the footage recorded by Jadis. Your opinions, thoughts, etc.” Both Job and Ronnie thought for a few seconds until Job had to go to the cash register to fulfill his job.
“Okay Ronnie, sense you are here, what is your opinion?” Cyri looked him dead in the eye.
“Well, I do not really know. I mean, let’s talk about Mychael first. If he is really hearing the voice of Ratliff in his mind, then I doubt it is anything supernatural. No matter what he said. In my opinion, I think it is what everyone is think: he is loosing his fucking mind. I am only now wondering how long it will be before he finally cracks under all of this.” Ronnie chugged down the rest of his coffee. He looked at his cup and laughed.
“You know Cyri,” he said. “With the amount of coffee we all drink, I am surprised that no one decided to go and throw us all into rehab.” Cyri just shook her head.
“Okay, I will admit that we are all coffee addicts, but it is not like we are some college kid that drinks himself to having heart attacks. Now, back on topic.” Cyri’s tone changed. If there was one thing that all the members agreed on: she is an expert on that. “My opinion stands as what I told Vincent in my last update. He might be seeing Ratliff in reality, but not quite. We all know those two were close and Mychael could have seen another side to Ratliff that no one else has seen. I refuse to completely believe it, but there might have been a good side to him. Like the Garret I once knew.”
“You know sis,” Ronnie retorted, shaking his head. “The fact that you even speak of Ratliff like that after all he had done, it just amazes me.”
“Well,” She lowered her voice. “after we killed that fucker, I stopped caring about what he has done. Even though I am trying to deal with some aspects of this, I am trying to put the past behind me. But, like some things: that is beyond easier said then done. You have my parents, Donnie, and who know what else will happen. Ratliff, unless something actually happens with him, is a chapter I am trying to close.” Job came back with more cups of coffee (all classic roast) for them.
“Only thing that sucks about giving you all coffee: it comes out of my pay check.”
“Then why do you keep giving us coffee?” Cyri asked.
“Simple: I like to treat my friends.” He took a sip of his coffee, then cleared his throat. “Now, onto what you asked of me Cyr. My opinion on this entire Mychael dilemma is simple: it is all an excuse. That or his alcohol is getting to him. How I look at it: if it is an excuse, then he might be changing his mind about how he is in terms of us or them. If it is alcohol problems, then that is pretty much self explanatory.” Cyri nodded.
“What do the others think?”
“Well, from what I can get,” Ronnie answered. “The girls have all have different opinions ranging from what we think to him just bluffing. Same with the guys. This, Cyri, is a pretty basic thought about him. But, with Blaze, from what I can get out of him, thinks Mychael is turning schizophrenic and if that is the case, he thinks we should go and just lock him up in an insane asylum.” Cyri laughed under her breath.
“Do that with all the people we despise who are trying to ruin us and then that will make our job BEYOND easier.”
“But, overall, most of us think he is just having mental problems. Unless he does something earth shattering, we should not have to worry about him all that much.” Ronnie leaned back.
“Okay, I see how all of this stands. Hopefully, with Blaze sneaking around, we should be able to get some more info on him.” Cyri looked at them to see if they had any other comments to make. They had known.
“Well, enough of that conversation. Now, on a more important matter: who here has seen any good films as of recent?” When Cyri asked that, they all fell into a mini fit of laughter.

Tad stared at his screen for sometime. He knew what they told him. He understood what they meant. But for him to do so was completely out of the question on too many levels. How he looked at it, he deserved her. He wanted her. And to hell what anyone else thought, he was going to get her sooner or later.
But at the same time, he understood what would happen if he continued on this path, he knew of the outcome. He just wished that Coraline, who was sitting on his bed going over his poems, would have something to say about this. She did, but not at all what he was expecting.
“Depressing, depressing, DEPRESSING!!!!!!” She screamed as she threw his poetry book across the rooms. “Reading that, I think I just killed ten brain cells. And I am blond, so I need any and all that I can get.” She laid on his bed, staring at the ceiling.
“You know, there is one thing I noticed about you boys. You all constantly obsesses over one girl until it get’s sickening.” She looked at him. “I know that I hate bitching, but it is annoying and I am not the only one who thinks so. Even all of our friends agree. Tad, you need to knock this out. Remember when we use to date? You never had any of these problems. What happened to that time?” Tad looked at her.
“Time changes. I do not remember. All I think now, in terms of love, is Cyri.”
“And as I say: you are pitiful.” She sighed. “Love, love, love, love, love. That is all I hear now a days! I turn on the TV. and I hear about how people try to kill themselves over this, kill others over that. And yet, I am still wondering if Cyri even knows about what you and Vincent done the day she went to torture Donnie.”
“She better not, at all, be aware of that.” Tad raised his voice.
“Calm your skinny ass down.” Coraline responded, not at all approving of his tone. “To the best of my knowledge she has no idea of your’s and his’ brawl. I still can not believe that you went, got him out of his house, with the intention to beat him up!”
“Well, believe it.” Tad said. “I did it, and I have to live with it. Do I regret it? In some aspects yes. But do I wish I could have busted his lip? Yes. The only thing I can not believe is that he was able to defeat me that quickly.”
“Well, what do you expect? During that time, he was busy making his ‘jacket’ and you just happen to be the one to be the test subject on it.”
“Yeah, one thing I did not aspect.”
“What where you trying to accomplish by fighting him?” She looked into his eyes.
“Simple: I was hoping to frighten him into stop this entire sets of charades of violence.”
“With more violence?”
“Violence shall with Violence be expelled.”
“It does not work like that! You do not get it, do you? The more you keep fighting Vincent, the more you continue to hate him, the more pain you will be causing not only you, but your friends. But, you know, only you can realize that and when you actually learn to grow the fuck up and deal with this, the better off we will all be.” She stood up and walked over to him. When he looked up at her, she went and quickly pressed her lips against his. “Tad, I will be honest with you: I actually like you and all, but I can not stand this if you constantly act like some tragic hero all the time by saving a girl that does not need saving. Remember: You are cute and all, but you are too much on an asshole right now. Stop it.” And with that, she grabbed her handbag and left.
Tad sat at his desk and started thinking about all that Coraline said. He knew that she had a point. Hell, he even knew that he himself was annoying himself. But, something inside of him did not want to stop fighting for her, being Cyri. Part of him wanted to let her go. It was nerve wracking.
He turned on his computer and started looking at some of his diary entries he kept. He wondered if Blaze had read any of them. If he did, what would have been his reaction other then laughing his ass off at how stupid and pathetic this kid was.
As he read each one, he started to notice how repeating it was getting. Each one, over and over again, was the same. It was like this for about two months sense Vincent left. He knew that, at that moment, if he knew Vincent’s e-mail address, he would have sent a message to him trying to apologize for how he acted.
Regardless, due to him not knowing that, he decided that one thing he will have to try would be making this all up for his friends. Coraline was right: everyone was getting pissed off at him. He wished he lived near Cyri again like he used to. But, due to him not, there was only one way: tomorrow at school.
He would e-mail her, but due to her never answering any of his emails, or even for that matter phone calls, there would only be one thing to try. And, hopefully it will work tomorrow. He took out a piece of paper and started writing.

Blaze looked at his computer monitor with Edvard Grieg’s In The Hall Of The Mountain King being blared in the back ground. In his mind, there was nothing better in the world then having classical music playing while he worked. Due to the late hour that he was working, everyone else was asleep so that gave him complete rein to do whatever he wanted.
The first thing he started doing was checking everyone’s computers. For the most part, it was all basically what it normally was: all of them looking up videos, games, things to buy, and their diary pages. It seemed a little odd that everyone would be keeping updates on what they have been doing, but to the knowledge of Blaze, it was all their way of sucking up to him to make sure that he did not expect or sense anything abnormal.
There was one person who’s computer he found not too much to his liking. And that was Tad’s. For the most part, he wanted to go and just right him a letter telling him to get a life and stop obsessing over Cyri. But, he figured that it would be more fun for him to sit back and just watch him make a fool of himself.
Enough of that, he decided. He went to his main hacking program and went into the computer of Mychael’s. The only thing that caught his attention was a few documents that Mychael had written. They were mostly of him and Ratliff (or what was Ratliff) talking to one another.
From what Blaze could tell, it was Mychael just having regrets about the entire situation. But, there was one part of all of this that got his attention. One certain little paragraph that made him curious:

“I can not believe that this is still happening to be. I am still having images and hearing Ratliff’s voice, but I do not know what is wrong anymore. The more I think about it, the more I feel like I am loosing my mind. It could be due to the job that we have to carry out. It could be the future of everyone. I just do not know. One thing I know he keeps bugging me about is joining Cyri’s group and help to clear his name (he won’t shut up about that). I have been thinking about it, and I just do not know. Should I, or should I not? I know what my friends say. I know what Ratliff says. I do not know what I think. But, there is one thing I am aware of: before I do anything else, I need to make up my mind before I launch with this plan that Laser has asked us to carry  out. If I turn back afterwards, I am dead. I just fucking know it.”

After reading that, Donnie started wondering what could have been meant by Laser? The first thing to pop into his mind was Dieter Laser and wondered if that could have been him. But, he doubted it. From what he could tell, it might have been. But someone like him working with them? He just did not know. But, he was going to end up doing some more research into the night until he can find out what it up with all of this. Plus, what is this plan that they are conducting. He turned on Mussordsky’s Night On Bald Mountain as he hacked into the computers of Lee and Snoop. Once you have access to one computer, finding related ones via emails and messages are kid’s level.
While going into one of the computers (Lee’s), he noticed a word file that was written. Opening it, it had parts of his and the other’s plan. There was only one part that was written, and said it was something new. Reading it, he knew that hell was about to break loose between Lee, Snoop, and Mychael.

Mychael was sitting in his room, listening to some music while trying to calm his mind. He was asleep earlier, but was awoken by another dream related to Ratliff. In his mind, he could not take it anymore. Even more when he tried to tell Lee and Snoop about all of this.
It frustrated him that even his own friends refused to believe anything that he tried to tell them, but what can he do? He done everything from doing research to trying to ignore it. The only response was that of Ratliff coming back, talking to him more. The conversation that he had with him earlier was still stuck in his head:
He was sitting in a pure white room on one of two black chairs. He sat in one while Ratliff sat in another. They were quiet, just staring at one another. In this world, it felt like an hour went by sense they began sitting. It was not until Ratliff cleared his voice did Mychael noticed anything at all.
“My friend,” Ratliff said in a clear tone. “as I have been in your head, I have been trying to get you to listen to me, but apparently you refuse to. I have asked you numerous times why is that, but always the answer of no. You do no even put any thought into your reasoning. Now that you are here and so am I, please tell me your logic.” Mychael thought for a few moments before he answered.
“Because… in truth I am afraid.” Mychael looked at Ratliff before bursting into a fit of rage. “I am afraid of all of this! I am afraid of the life I have put myself in! I am afraid of the outcome! Afraid of  the people’s lives I have destroyed! The innocence that I have wrecked! When you were alive, no one saw what it would lead to. I never did. I only joined in because you were my friend and I had to be some dumb ass nigger that listened to all that you said. But, once you were killed, I never turned back. I kept going forward. I blamed everything on Vincent, Cyri, and all of them. Then when Donnie was tortured, I still had my hatred.”
“Then why, Mychael, did you continue doing all of this?” Ratliff looked at Mychael who was starting to form tears around his eyes.
“I was afraid. After all the brutality, I started thinking about my life. I started wondering if this was really the life I wanted to lead. I looked at television, heard music that said that this was a great life style. That said if I was to continue on this path that everything would be great. Everything would be wonderful.
“but then, I started looking at the hell it has caused. Looked at where I was at in my life. I want out. There, I said it. I want out. I hate this, I despise this, I want out Ratliff.” once Mychael said that, Ratliff put his hand up.
“Before we continue, there is one thing I want to make clear. That is that Ratliff Hodge burns in hell for all eternity, my birth name is Garrett Favreau Hodges and as such, I want - no, I Demand - my name be Garrett if you must speak to me at all.” Mychael nodded his head.
“Now, as to wanting out, there is one thing and way of what you can do: I know what Laser, Fulaytar, and Donnie have asked you to do. My thing is: do not do it. At all. Turn it down. Tonight, what you should do is leave. No questions asked.”
“But, what about my family? I can not leave them here, can I not?”
“You have a point Mychael. This is what you do, sense you have done this before, write a letter to them both saying that you have to go. Tell them that you will call them once you reach your destination. Find a trustworthy friend you can stay at for a while.” Garrett took a breath.
“I do not know. Just, after all that has happened and that I know that I want to escape this life, I just do not know -” Mychael looked overhead as Garrett kissed the top of his head.
“Two things. First, I am not gay. I am just kissing you as a friend/ guardian spirit (I am guessing you can call me that). Second is that I have complete faith that you will be able to do this well. Just have faith in yourself and this will work.”
Once the dream ended, Mychael was awoken with a few tears in his eyes. He put on his headphones and started listening to whatever song he first found on his MP4.
He started thinking and decided that it would be best to go with what Garrett had said.
He jumped off of his bed and started to get ready, the first thing he found was a piece of paper and started jotting down a quick message explaining where he would be at. He left it on his desk as he started wondering what to get to prepare his departure. Then he jumped in shock at seeing Lee by his front door.
“Yo,” Lee said. Mychael placed his hand over his heart, trying to breath.
“Fuck, you nearly scared the shit out of me!” Mychael said, leaning against a wall. “Now, why are you here?”
“Simple: Me and Snoop have orders to perform the job tonight. Apparently, it was moved from tomorrow till tonight.” Lee said with something of a smile on his face.
“Wait, did you get an email or what?” Mychael looked quizzically at Lee. Something did not feel right about this. At all.
“Email. Check if you do not believe me.” Mychael turned on his email and started looking for it. Once he saw that he did not get any email, he saw something off of the reflection of the screen. What he saw was Lee pulling out his gun and started to point it at Mychael.
Once it was in perfect alignment with him, right when Lee’s forefinger was one the trigger, Mychael took his leg and kicked the gun out of Lee’s hand. With a heavy thud, it landed on the ground, but a bullet smashed into a window, breaking it down.
Taking his fist, he punched Lee right in the nose then kicked him in the stomach so that he fell on his back. While the sound of a television and some pictures smashed into the ground, it became Mychael’s shock that he did not hear anything from outside of his room.
Kicking Lee in the head and taking both his and Lee’s guns, he stormed outside and down to where his parents were. When he was able to see into his room, what he saw was too late. Snoop had already fired a second bullet into the mattress that had Mychael’s parents in it.
Thinking beyond fast, he went and stormed out side into the backyard. Jumping over some few sets of fences, he made a run towards down the road not looking back once.
