The Reservoir Crime Family II: Part Three
“Before we allow this opera of violence continue,” Started Coppola. “One thing I want to know: Is Hassossun here?” Atmend looked up.
“He is in the area, yes. He decided to not show up on the account that he wants to make sure his equipment is set up.” Coppola looked up when Atmend spoke.
“He is really doing it then, eh?”
“Don’t be a damned fool. With all that is going on, it is for the best.” Atmend looked around and noticed that, besides him, Parkera, and Coppola, no one knew what he was talking about. “Oh, wait. Let me guess: the others have no idea about what we are talking about?”
“Never got around to telling them.” Coppola responded sitting down in one of the empty chairs. Atmend sighed, rubbing his forehead.
“Should I or you tell them?”
“You go ahead.”
“Alright then.” Atmend said, turning towards everyone else. “Due to the situation at hand, all of you are going to be required to stay in the mansion until such a time that all of this ends. No exception. With this going on, we are having all of your homes under surveillance by Hassossun. While here, you will all be monitored every minute of every hour of every day. You will all be safe here.” Everyone looking around, they all started to explode in an outcry of protest.
To some of the members of The Reservoir, this only spark one thought: constant civil war among all of the heads. For starters, with the lack of rooms, it was going to get a tad bit crowded and to say that some of the heads were not the most lovable of friends would be an understatement. Looking around, Soren was starting to wonder who would try to kill who first.
In the death of the silence, Goji was the first to speak.
“I am aware that this is for the best and is completely and utterly needed, but what I am wondering is: do we know or have any idea as to who is behind these fiendish deeds? Any leads? What have the Andres found out?” Coppola raised his hand to silence him.
“As to who are the leads, we are still going over what we have. Hassossun has taken over that responsibility after the disaster of the Andre’s assignment. With the information we got from Kingly and Palma, we are trying to see if there were any we might have missed. The Andre’s work is being examined by some of my people. With the Andre’s themselves, The Royals have taken them and they are getting some medical help as we speak. To say that I have seen corpses that have been put threw a grinder that look better then them would be an understatement. Once they are in a more stable condition, I will talk to them and see what we can get from them about this.”
“That out of the way, what about this figure in black that people keep talking about?” Goji corrected himself in his seat while taking a sip of coffee. “From what my people have reported, these murderers are unlike anything else. An example was with the wounding of one of my best men.”
“Ah yes, you told me about this.” Coppola said, taking a sip of coffee. “Please tell the rest of your fellow leaders here about this man of yours and what had happened to him.” Gojia took a deep sigh.
“Last night, one of my men who shall go unnamed, ended up seeing the explosion that happened a short while after Casper and Victor had left Twix’s residence. Just to inform you Soren and Ryan: Coppola had me send one of my most stealthiest men to look after both of your’s just in case something was to happen. This was due to us getting tipped off that Twix had set up this entire operation to ambush and take out both of your men to send a little message to you.
“Well, after you guys had left, my man stayed for about an hour to make sure that nothing was to happen, to make sure that no one was going to follow you or do anything. Typically, right after someone leaves, someone follows. But we had the suspicion that there might have been cameras and/ or microphones set up to see if you guys did anything. If so, we were going to have to take the footage and destroy it. The reason: should your men might have said anything that can be used against the families, we can have it destroyed in a heart beat. After a while until the hour was up, nothing happened.
“As my man turned around and was about to leave until something caught his eye: a figure cloaked in black. He saw this figure walk into the room that Twix was in and started rummaging around, trying to look for something. He did not see this figure do anything in the way of taking something out of his pocket, and then he went to the window and jumped up on the window ceil. Unzipping his jacket and using it as something of a parachute or a cape, the Figure went and jumped out of the window. As he did so, the window and a good chunk of the side of the building exploded. To say it was a shock would be an understatement. According to my man, he saw a few burning bodies fall to the sidewalk. Including Twix’s.
“Terrified with what he saw, my Man turned around and started to get away. Until he was ambushed by the Figure. Knife in hand, the figure came after The Man, as he will be called from here on out. To wrap up this story, The Man was able to get way by confusing The Figure enough to escape. But before he did, The Man tried to shoot The Figure in the head countless times. After realizing that he had, under his black cloak, an entire suit of bullet proof material, he started to dash out of their. That was before he was stabbed repeatedly by The Figure.
“Contacting me, I was able to find The Man some time after the attack. He was still alive, though he was only alive for one purpose: to deliver a message. And that message was: An end of an era is about to happen. The house of Reservoir was about to be destroyed. Right now, The Man is with The Andres in recovery.”
Everyone at the table just looked straight at Goji in horrified silence. None of them really knew what to say about what they had just heard, so they all sighed and just sat back. Thinking, Ryan had a question.
“The Man, as he is so called, did he describe what The Figure’s voice sounded like? Or for that matter, did the Andres have anything to say about the voice of the one that was after them?” he looked at both Goji and Coppola. It was Coppola that responded.
“From me speaking to all three of them, what we had gotten was that the voices were distorted though clear enough to understand. As to the purpose behind this, I am able to have one guess and I am sure you all have figured it out: either someone wants to put us out of commission or is trying to end the reign of organized crime. Once Hassossoun is able to get more information on what is going on, we will report ot you all.” Looking around, he saw Soren contemplating.
“Soren, what are you thinking of?” Soren looked at him.
“I was thinking: are you believing that one of us could have done this?” All of the heads started talking at once.
“He actually has something of a point.” Brett Taran said. “I mean, it does make some form of logic. So, do you really think it could be one of us?”
“It is a possibility.” Coppola said, scratching the side of his face. “I do not want to think that it is true, but as of now, it is possible.”
“But you are not answering the question at hand, Coppola: do you think that it is one of us that is the cause of all this chaos?” Mckinsy Stoke asked, him moving forward so he can look at Coppola. Stoke is known for having this great stomach that forces him to constantly lean back whenever he sit. Moving to look to see Coppola, his stomach started to cover part of the table.
“In all honesty: I do believe so. But remember: just because I do believe so, that does not mean it is so. For all we know, I could be wrong and the real culprits is one of the numerous other organizations that are in the area.” Everyone else at the table started to look towards one another. Coppola took notice of this.
“Just to make this clear: no one was outside during the time of the events last night. I know that does not mean shit, but the point of this being made is to show that the person could be anyone. Now, what I do not want to hear, and I doubt that this will be followed, is any of you trying to kill one another. Last thing I need is this mansion to turn into a battle ground.” Everyone looked at each other. Soren and Ryan looked at each other, then at the others. Without saying a word, they knew what they were thinking: they need to find the culprit. Fast.
“Now, I have kept you all long enough. Meeting is adjourned until we find some info. The servants out side will show you all to your individual rooms. Until we meet again, see you all around.” Coppola stood up, pointed at Soren, Ryan, Mansell, Casper, Tomas, and Pakera to follow him. The rest went to their rooms.
