Main Thought: Excellent production with good acting, but left to be desired upon a little bit.

REVIEW: Theatre has always, and still will be, the best place to sit down and have a story reenacted in front of a live audience. Theatre just gives way to relating with the audience more and more with different (always minimal) changes in each production. Now, High School places can never be up to the same quality as professional theatre productions, but they can try. Keith Tiller and Bronwyn Jardin's Production of Fiddler On The Roof is as close to being high class as can be made. By now, the overall plot of the play has been engraved in our memories, so I shall not waste your time on plot devices. Now, the direction of the play (which includes pacing and choreography) was better then what I expected. The only other production that I have seen was a middle school production that was, unfortunately, mediocre at best. So, in terms of direction, this play's was excellent. Now for the major part: the acting. Oh boy. For the most part, the acting was great. The only true complaint I have is that some of the acting was a little flat. As in, we were given two dimensional acting. This is not really a bad thing, but this reviewer would have liked more. But, as stated: the over all acting was good. But not fantastic. Now, part of the acting that impressed me the most were two things: the singing and the choreography. In terms of singing, all I can say is that these kids have a set of pipes on them. They all sang loud, clear, and just with wonderfulness that, personally, I would have loved it if they were in an opera. Mostly because they expressed their voices in singing rather then in dialogue. Choreography wise, I am giving these kids props on dancing. I will admit: there were a few times when I thought that something bad was bound to happen (the bar scene and the wedding). But, to my shock, nothing went wrong. They preformed some risky moves and I am glad that they done so with grace. Now, the sets' paint jobs were good and the effects (like the smoke in the dream sequence) were more then I expected. So, my main thought on the play is this: Excellent production with good acting, but left to be desired upon a little bit.
